5 Questions Challenge

We were nominated by @Anutu to the 5 Questions Challenge created by @snowpea. Ren thought we should take a run at it.

1) In my opinion, what are the two greatest aspects of the steem platform?

1. Far and away the best thing is the community. We have been active on various social media for many years, and we have worked hard at it, but we have never had the kind of reception, feedback, support and kindness we have found here. We didn't know how much we needed that until we found it here.
2. I love the way that the designers of Steem built in incentives to encourage community building. Improving the Steem community is built into the system.

2) What are the 2 largest complaints I have concerning the Steem platform?

1. That posts can only accumulate rewards for 7 days. They cannot grow gradually over time.
2. We need a better platform for video. I don't care for the way Dtube downgrades video quality.

3) What 2 moments are the most memorable to me?

1. Our invitation to join Welcome Wagon. We had only been here a few weeks and were already pleasantly surprised at how welcoming everyone was. We were not expecting that.
2. When we were invited to be guests on Pennsif's Alternative Lifestyle podcast.

4) What are the two most important lessons I've learned in my time as a Steemian?

1. Stay engaged. Connect with others as much as possible. The key to having a great experience on Steem is to make great relationships with good people.
2. It takes patience to grow. Not every post will get a strong response. You have to just keep producing quality content and some will do well and some will not. Every new post is another chance to reach people.
