none of that will work globally. When the summer is in southern hemisphere, in northern we have winter, so simultaneously we cannot request planting the same thing from everyone. Besides that we all have different soil in our gardens (more of that - many of us live in the big cities and do not have any garden at all), and, most importantly, we are in different climate zones. I'm in Norway, Koppen Climate Zone Dfc (subarctic), or USDA Zone 5b
You, in Philippines have tropical zone (one of As', like AF, AW etc), or in USDA Zone 11 to 13. It's extremely different environment and not the same things can be planted in both of the places.

Okay got it amigo, so you mean you just only focussing on indoor gardening, for the reason of weather differences and limited space.
But most likely SEA countries like Philippines are practicing in outdoor gardening, so it is really a conflict.

...and they still will be physically able to plant something at home or, if they want to, they can plant directly in the soil.
I doubt people in Manila or Cebu have gardens to practice outdoor gardening, so I believe your statement may be correct only while considering rural areas of SEA.
