Quote of the Day/ Zitat des Tages #161 ENG/DEU

in chance •  6 years ago

Seeing a chance isn't an art.
Art is to see an opportunity as first.
Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was an American publisher, printer, writer, inventor, scientist, and statesman.
During an economic heyday in the United States, Franklin was posthumously portrayed as a model of social climber.
The founder of the Bank of New York Mellon had a statue of Franklin erected in front of his bank. He explained that Franklin's example had inspired him to leave his parents' farm and make a career as a businessman. Andrew Carnegie described how Franklin inspired him to set up public libraries. These and other successful businessmen saw him as a role model, not only for his own career but also for public service.

Bennie's political history is fascinating. America would not have become what it did without him.
