Chandrayaan-3 was sent off from Satish Dhawan Space Center on 14 July 2023. The rocket entered lunar circle on 5 August, and the lander landed in the lunar south polar region[8] on 23 August at 12:33 UTC, making India the fourth country to effectively arrive on the Moon, and the principal to do as such approach the lunar south pole.
