The mysterious "Tianchi water monster of Changbai Mountain" has appeared twice recently. After two locals found the "water monster" on the north slope of Changbai Mountain on July 6, 2002, more people witnessed the unidentified creature on the west slope of Changbai Mountain on July 25. Meng Fanying, director of Songjiang Tourism Branch of Jilin Changbai Mountain National Nature Reserve Administration, said that at about 2 p.m. on July 25 this year, some tourists witnessed the "Tianchi water monster" at the top of the west slope of Changbai Mountain. At the top of the mountain, Mr. Dong, who operates a rental telescope, said that at that time, the "water monster" appeared on the water surface on the North Korean side, about 100 meters away from the shore. I saw it jump up and down, just like a seal swimming in the water. The first feeling is that the fish is flying. Looking through the telescope, it looks dark. For nearly a hundred years, "water monster" has been an unsolved mystery in this alpine lake. However, from the detailed records of local documents at the beginning of last century to the dozens of sightings of thousands of people in recent decades, the existence of "water monsters" in Tianchi has become an undeniable fact.
