One Meal a Day is a steemit charity action to struggle against famine.
Everyone in need of food can comment here and receive our help to no longer starve.
The poorest might not have access to internet, if you desire to help on the ground and actively provide meal, simply post what you are doing here.
We should all contribute for a better world and insure the poorer to get at least the vital minimum:
ONE MEAL A DAY

I will never lie, I just want to say that a whole lot of people iny country are starving, most are homeless I can't even help them because I'm just s student struggling to pay my school fee, with the little tiny upvotes I get here which I'm more than grateful for.
I will however imbibe you to please help the communities who are solely in the Wat of helping Nigerians who are needy like @youareHope run by @sircork.
It's an amazing true concept right now he's working on a project to provide for people living in a mosquito infested areas like where I live.

I am a student from a developing country and i see many needy people whom i want to help but i cannot Help all of them.i always see them outside mosque and temples and stupas begging and asking but I cannot do as much as they need. me and my team ( made up of medical students here in Owerri, IMO state) are visiting an orphanage for the Valentine love since medical student did not afford us the time on the 14th. Our budget was over $600 but we have raised about $300. We planned on going like that, and if you could support us, it will highly appreciated!

I am among the people who desperately need your help sir @damarth. It's been five years I can not work anymore because now I'm badly disabled, both hands I contracted due to burns. These are the items i was able to get from the $15. I am so happy to be able to have you use me as an avenue to reach these people. I got them 3 modules of rice each, with same amount for beans and cassava flakes, low cholesterol groundnut oil and palm oil, with sachets of salt, measured onions and powdered semovita.

I would love to start off by thanking @damarth for this initiative,i heard of this, of how you sir @damarth, tries to be a great blessing to numerous amounts of people every single day that passes by. In my home nation of Nigeria, the case is a heart-shattering one. Where the system is failing to recognize the need to help and feed the great number of children and youths.
Children in nigeria can hardly get access to adequate meals, or good sound education. For the case of feeding, the parents of the children that are in charge of feeding them do not even have the money to do so.
I would love to share a short story about my neigbours whose story is a very sad one. Their father died when they were very young. The weight of caring for the family has been on the shoulders of their mother ever since,and she was a just a secondary school teacher. Now, anyone in nigeria will know how bad the teaching profession has become; a profession that once used to be the very pride of the nation has now turned into a profession of misery. She was a teacher of a government owned public school, where her salary was just #30,000naira. Their house rent was about #15,000naira and rising. Doing the math, you'd know that their standard of living was very terrible. She would always go to different homes and help them wash their bathrooms and toilets just for her to get enough money to feed her children. Most of the time, my mother would split our meals at home and give them 70% of the mea, just to help them.
The government school's job was so terrible that they,ll even owe her for close to 6months. The system here is terrible.
The bridge between the poor and the rich here is mind boggling. Like the woman in the story, most people can't feed nor attend schools.
The rich just keep getting richer, gathering all of the money meant for the betterment of the people, and putting it all in their pockets.
Our hope for a better tomorrow in this country-Nigeria; are the youths of this time, but the state of schools in nigeria is heart breaking, children like my neigbours don't even have food to eat so as to even have the energy to attend classes and build their futures.
I took a trip to the state of kaduna-here in nigeria to see their classrooms, and i cried. I went on my knees and prayed to God to provide a means for me to help better the lives of the people around me.
The chairs they had to seat on were all broken and dilapidated,and the school uniforms they were putting on were all torn.
After that day, i went to back home to think on how to help the students attending the government school in my area. They also have torn, ripped school uniforms. I have been reflecting and thinking hard on how i can use this platform - steemit; to provide the materials needed to make good school uniforms for the students, and get a list of the children who have just one parent caring for them. I am hoping that i could start off something here on steemit and be able to create enough awareness about this issue and try my very possible best to provide food for their families, so that they can have a better life.

I need help feeding some my students. I have students who cant afford breakfast. A meal cost 20 cents in USD here. The cheapest and the most decent. I try my best to feed one student a day. Idk how you can help. Tried inviting my students to join steemit but they dont have internet connection. I pledge to donate 100% of the earnings of this comment. Will make a post on the progress. Last Saturday we went to celebrate a friend's birthday at the FCT school for the blind in Abuja, Nigeria. Where we feed those children and also donated some materials them.
So, I'm doing this for the needy in my environment and for my foundation.

When I first got here, I also thought of having a child. I love the idea that when I actually get Prego, I can start writing letters to my child through blockchain. My mother died when I was in my early 28's and I always wished I could write down some suggestions for me somewhere. Thank you @damarth for availing us this opportunity. My focus is on Poor Students on Campus, i have always had it in mind to take Steemit to almost all Campus Starting with Nigeria.
I know what it is like for Students to be in School without enough money to take them through, most of them stay hungry just to make sure they buy books.
For me i thought it was difficult until I heard a story my friend shared with me back in my school days. When I joined Steemit this was the first thing I thought of #steemitcampuschallenge focused on going from campus to campus to make Steemit known to them.
I strongly believe that with Steemit, 40% of this students will always have something on their table and to pay their bills.

This week was kind of normal, usual in most ways with a little cherry here and there. I have been busy but good, kids have been working on school tasks and finding some balanced leisure time. Most important, fruit program was featuring fun produce, one that is an educational symbol in many places, the juicy apple!
Look at all those smiling faces! It feels like every week there is more and more happiness going around. Plus, we are witnessing the growth of the little ones, both in education and, well, height! They are getting bigger and stronger, filled with joy about life and most definitely bringing a smile to my face as well. I hope this never stops, our help and love as well as their realization that the world can be a better place!

some days ago on getting to work I saw this little girl and she was standing beside where I work, I notice there is no one beside her . . . . i went to her and ask her, where is your mummy, who brought you here? and She couldn't replied I wait fora while and when I see dat nobody is showingto claim her, I inform police about the issue and decide to register her in motherless baby's home.

In my area, i have children who needs help with schooling. They hawk during the day and even i am sure that wouldn't amount to much. I would love to be an instrument whereby at least few of them can go to school with proofs to back it up when done.
At my place of work, i have an old man that comes. I give him little amount when he comes around and i know that can't feed him longer. He hasn't been around today and i promise to take his picture when he comes around again and get him a decent meal to show as proof aswell.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it well.

I am always touched by your act of sincerest kindness in your quest to allay famine in your own way.
But I'll make sure I aid people around me too, even in a minute sense just because I have personal experiences, I know what it means not to have eaten in 24hours let alone 48hours. Though I am relatively new here, the mindset to live comfortably in a bit has pursued me here too, the smartphone I use right now is from a borrowed source all because I heard about steemit just to ease the hardness this life poses on me and family members even in the smallest means. My family members especially the younger need to be catered for.

i will done upvote..thanks for sharing...The bridge between the poor and the rich here is mind boggling. Like the woman in the story, most people can't feed nor attend schools.
The rich just keep getting richer, gathering all of the money meant for the betterment of the people, and putting it all in their pockets.
Our hope for a better tomorrow in this country-Nigeria; are the youths of this time, but the state of schools in nigeria is heart breaking, children like my neigbours don't even have food to eat so as to even have the energy to attend classes and build their futures.
I took a trip to the state of kaduna-here in nigeria to see their classrooms, and i cried. I went on my knees and prayed to God to provide a means for me to help better the lives of the people around me.
The chairs they had to seat on were all broken and dilapidated,and the school uniforms they were putting on were all torn.
After that day, i went to back home to think on how to help the students attending the government school in my area. They also have torn, ripped school uniforms. I have been reflecting and thinking hard on how i can use this platform - steemit; to provide the materials needed to make good school uniforms for the students, and get a list of the children who have just one parent caring for them. I am hoping that i could start off something here on steemit and be able to create enough awareness about this issue and try my very possible best to provide food for their families, so that they can have a better life.@damarth thank you for this incredible open door ... The basic need any human cannot do without is feeding...without it, it's death. What you're doing is giving life to many, this is humanitarian and you can only be more blessed doing this.
I celebrated Valentine's last week at an orphanage and wow!, I see how these kids don't have the regular things you think you should have..I was moved. I'd like to be able to help them somehow, this could be a good avenue to be of help. Many states do this for pupils in public schools, although it is not regular, what about those not in school at all, it would really be great if we join forces especially now that @damarth has introduced the idea to us.

This is great initiative @damarth. Visiting an orphanage last week helped me to have a full grasp of how many people and children especially who ate starving and don't have means to feed or eat. It's disheartening to know that some of these kids have bright future but due to unavailability of care and love l, they end up in the street. With that, they still go so hungry and do not feed well. Thanks for lending a hand. This will further help me to reach out to more kids. ..In my home nation of Nigeria, the case is a heart-shattering one. Where the system is failing to recognize the need to help and feed the great number of children and youths.
Children in nigeria can hardly get access to adequate meals, or good sound education. For the case of feeding, the parents of the children that are in charge of feeding them do not even have the money to do so.
I would love to share a short story about my neigbours whose story is a very sad one. Their father died when they were very young. The weight of caring for the family has been on the shoulders of their mother ever since,and she was a just a secondary school teacher. Now, anyone in nigeria will know how bad the teaching profession has become; a profession that once used to be the very pride of the nation has now turned into a profession of misery. She was a teacher of a government owned public school, where her salary was just #30,000naira. Their house rent was about #15,000naira and rising. Doing the math, you'd know that their standard of living was very terrible. She would always go to different homes and help them wash their bathrooms and toilets just for her to get enough money to feed her children. Most of the time, my mother would split our meals at home and give them 70% of the mea, just to help them.
The government school's job was so terrible that they,ll even owe her for close to 6months. The system here is terrible.

Thank you sir for another grace Mr. @damart. I have two brother in my neighborhood, one just got the admission in polytechnic last month, but the boy is still staying home due to financial issues. He need to buy many things to take to the school while his parents is snuggling to get the money for him.
The second boy learnt haircut. But he need money to establish the business. Sir, I want to be one of the person who will make impact in their progress.
Lastly, a old blind women living next street to my house, the women always doing morning crying ( preaching the Gospel or evangelism) in the street early in the morning without holding any one but her hand stick. This woman is poor and despite that she still having time to spread the Gospel around her. Sir Mr. @damart I want to help this blind woman by buying her enough food stuff. I stay in Nigeria and I must confess a lot of women are finding it hard to provide for their families. Due to changing roles in the society women are now charged with the responsibility of taking care of their homes. There are also cases of widows here who cannot afford a meal or even send their children to school. I have tried my best in putting a food on some of their tables but I need more help. I started an initiative called Rubies Network bit I am presently looking for fun do as well as partners to achieve this.

One that I found during a visit to Tangkahan Mo'awo, Gunungstoli yesterday was the existence of two turtles who accidentally netted by fishing nets.
Actually not just this once turtles caught by fishing nets. It is said that turtle meat and eggs have a high nutrient content. But some literature that I read states, the lifetime of a very long turtle - can be hundreds of years old, it keeps carcinogenic substances that cause cancer is quite dangerous, when consumed by humans. This substance comes from the polluted sea that is likely passed by the turtles during migration and can not be lost when it enters the human body.
In addition, turtles also include protected sea animals in the world. Reportedly when the turtle is extinct, then the future of marine life will be threatened. Ecosystem balance is gradually become a problem that we can not overcome.
On the other hand we can not blame the fisherman for granted. From my observations yesterday, they have not understood the importance of turtles for marine life. Turtles netted and damaged their nets. To fix the net they have to sell it.
Hopefully through this post, related departments and friends who are concerned with the marine ecosystem immediately intervened to socialize to the fishermen. I'm sure if they understand why turtles are protected, they will help keep their presence.
