Ms Evangeline is no philanthropist! I'm not from the welfare nor a billionaire. Just a woman who's very blessed (not financially!!!) and wants to bless other. Of course, with the intention to raise some awareness and spread some love.

I'm sure many people have heard about Penan Women Project (PWP) but last year was kinda the first time I got to know about it from a friend. She said she was gonna get a weaved purse for her friend and showed me hers. I immediately fell in love with the bags and purses.

Aren't they lovely?

I looked it up, so basically PWP is to help Penan people to get out of poverty. This is such an awesome initiative! Not to mention the designs are so beautiful. I got to know that they were going to have a booth before Chinese New Year at Bangsar Shopping Center, chose two, one for my friend, one for myself.

The purses are RM40 each. To me, it is pretty cheap considering the fact that this is for charity and also they were transported all the way from Sarawak. There were handbags too but the designs were not the ones I wanted. The merchant told me many beautiful ones have been sold and that I came too late.

I'm so looking forward to the next event. Get some nice bags and help the Penans at the same time.

I know this brand very well! Great that they do this for a such a good cause. For me the only downside is they use imported plastic :-( wish they could make it a little less bad on the environment.
Good content though @evangelinesp!

Thanks Yasmine!
Oh ya that's true! The plastic part.. if only these are recycled plastics, it would have been perfect!
