Many greeting and amazing wishes to everyone stopping by and checking up on the school life. I have much more to tell you about the little ones this week than myself. My life has been filled with computer gaming that helps me go through the motions. Then there was the packing. I have all my stuff in boxes and I am figuring out a way to move everything across countries. I am only doing it with a car and someone I trust as my computer is a pricy thing that I do not want to risk breaking. At all.
I have reached setbacks with the doggo that I wanted to get. And I am really sad about that. Life is, however, working in its own way so I will have to move on and find another dog that needs me as much as I need it. I am really bummed about Poder still, though. I got really attached to the lovely pup but I am told it is too much stress for him to be moved as he is a what people would call ''problem dog''. For me, he was just a misunderstood pup that needs some love but I guess, I will never find out if that is what he was. I am kind of mourning the loss now. I know it is silly but it is the truth.
The SBD from this post will go to the @SchoolForSDG4 account. The Steem Power will stay with me, @lindahas. It will be used later on to help fund my trip to Sylhet, Bangladesh and do something useful in real life.
Most families living in the slums face money issues. A lot of those in trouble cannot go to a bank to take out a loan. They are illiterate and cannot sign any type of papers. That is where loan sharks come in. For every event, wedding, celebrations. Anything. You need money for. And when your daughter gets married, you are expected to cover a lot of costs. This happened in Taslima's family recently when her sister celebrated her big day.
Taslima's dad took out multiple loans and because of it, there are people looking for him to pay back. The father has left home and hasn't shown up for a while now. I mentioned this before, I am sure of it. The sad part is that problems do not just disappear with the father. There is a family of six, a mom and her children, left at home alone. Mohammed says that it might be really hard for them to make it in this situation. In fact, Taslima skipped school for a couple of days because of the reason. However, her mom is saying that it is okay right now and I hope that is the truth.
People need education. At least the basics, reading, writing, math, economics. Yes, it is the basics because everyone deals with money on the daily. It should be a much more important subject than it is. I really hope that @SchoolForSDG4 will be able to help at least a part of kids that need it. Teach them something that will let them get out of the hole.
On another note, @ragepeanut has made a wonderful post to support our charity school. 100% of the post reward is going straight to the school account and I think that is amazing! In the spirit of giving and sharing, this is great news and I love how there are always community members that want to support charitable causes.
Another interesting project that helps bring awareness and provokes engagement is something @quochuy has created. Check out this post and maybe participate, it is a project that brings awareness to charity initiatives on the blockchain. You might just find another great cause to follow if you decide to go and investigate!
I am informed that Mohammed will be back on a more regular posting schedule after December 15. I hope to bring you much more news after the date and talk a little more about the little ones. Also, Christmas is coming and I hope it is going to be great! I can not wait to see what the school is going t organize for the days.
All the pictures are recent and provided by @Azizbd. any questions about the project can be resolved with him if you are interested in helping this project and have any idea about how to make it better. He will even get up at 4 AM just to talk to somebody about ideas. Here is a link to his Steemit chat: https://steemit.chat/direct/azizbd.
If you would like to contribute by making a post, you can contact Mohammed (@azizbd) and he will provide pictures for you. Anyone spreading the word is welcome. The income from the post can be sent to @schoolforsdg4. Even a small donation from your posts means a lot to those kids.
If you have any Steem that you want to gift, donations are welcome. @SchooForSDG4 is where you want to send them. If you can't spare any Steem, because I know everybody has their lives to live and expenses that need to be covered, a simple upvote is very much appreciated. A resteem is encouraged.
Linda

I was sent here by a fellow Steeminati,l and would like to say I noticed that the children in the pictures were doing I guess math and writing skills, and glad to see that they had a little art.
You might look for an artstorm contest for them to submit to with the story...
I will be back to upvote again in the future...
Thank you for your good works!

That is an interesting idea! I do not think the kids have Steemit accounts but there is the main @SchoolForSDG4 account that they might do it through!
Thanks :)

I agree. You need to learn the basics, that is for sure, and then go for what you feel is right. Make your own thing, walk your own path. For some it is college, for others, it is the world and experiences. As long as you work constantly, to advance and consume more information, you can make it. It is when kids are robbed at that chance to broaden their scope when all the problems start. Little ones need education and we, as adults, are responsible for providing it.
Thank you! :)

As an early member of the steeminati, I am honored to help such a worthy cause, please post more than once a week so some of us with lesser voting power can upvote more.
Plus we are working on a bot that can do upvotes on what we schedule, but without the post, it will have no choice but to upvote something else (thus giving them the author rewards).
It's like the old saying: "the squeaky wheel gets the oil".
