You know what, you're right. And wrong.
I will completely agree that trying to make everything you do perfect is indeed a waste of time. I know I've spent way more time than was necessary trying to get a story to be close to perfect. But it ended up costing me way more time which I could've used to write more.
That is the point where I think you're wrong.

Forgot where I read this quote, but I believe it to be true. Everyone has a different definition of perfect and trying to get it on the first attempt is not happening. But if you spent less time on each attempt and make more attempts, then you can achieve your idea of perfection over time.
But despite my opinions, this is still a great post. And more importantly, it got me thinking. So that earns my vote and resteem.
