Las Vegas and Steemit is a 24 Hour Lifestyle, It Never Stops ~ Charles Fuchs
Las Vegas is so similar to Steemit... I lived in Las Vegas for over 15+ years and we went through many problems like the recession, lack of visitors, growing pains, traffic problems etc etc and many people said it was doomed but at the end of the day it always proved people wrong.
I remember when all the "Naysayers" had told Steve Wynn that he was insane a few years ago to build a $2.7 Billion dollar Resort/Casino called the "WYNN". He was going against huge competition and the "haters" said his new ideas were just going to fail.
He wanted to too "Disrupt" what all the other casinos were doing for decades and wanted to do things differently. Now it's sitting here dominating the whole Las Vegas Strip and became one of those most successful casinos ever.
The similarities to Steemit are Similar.... Dan and Ned had visions to disrupt the "Social Media" game and created Steemit. They were one of the first people to attach a blockchain to a social media site and in my eyes they are "Disrupting" the game.
It's going to be very hard for new competitors to enter the market and start dominating right away. Steemit are one of the first to market and its going to be very hard for new competitors to catch up where we are currently today.
You see, Steemit is new and the vision is there. Yes, there are a few problems here and there, that's totally normal for anything that is new but look at where we are today, people are getting paid on Social Media and great content!
I can see Steemit becoming one of the biggest Blockchain Social Media websites in a few years.
So with that being said, Steemit potential of being a powerhouse are currently right in our faces and if you don't see that... I don't know what else to tell ya.
I see huge things happening to Steemit in the next 6-18 months with Millions of people. Are you here to enjoy the ride, if not... you are going to regret it for a very long time.

You sure the analogy works? Steemit is like Las Vegas because many come expecting to make a fortune, but in reality it is a rigged game and only the house ever makes money. The little guys are playing a rigged game and always lose their entire stake on average. When I visited Las Vegas 4 year ago, i was left a little disapointed, mainly due to the fact I built it up to be this overwhelming beyond imagination place in my head.... & it was ... dead( as in too quiet!!!)... which was weird to me also!but that also might of been that I stayed in circus circus!

It probably wont ever be too late. The barrier to entry is just super low right now. Later, it will be a lot harder to get noticed. I think in the future you might even have to buy steem to get it. By then steem will be way more expensive as well. People are giving up now while steem is new. Imagine how hard it will be starting with a billion active users, and steem at $100.
