✴️ WAS BITCONNECT THE BIGGEST CRYPTOCURRENCY SCAM EVER? WHY I NEVER JOINED 😳

"By just telling me who your 5 closes friends, I can tell how successful you are. Start surrounding yourself with people who make you better, everyday" ~ Charles Fuchs.

Whats Up STACKERS!

If you are involved in Cryptocurrencies, you may have already heard and/or known about Bitconnect. It was a cryptocurrency that went belly up and hundreds of millions of dollars were lost instantly. 🙇🏼

The promoters of Bitconnect stated that by giving them your "Bitcoin" in exchange for there "Bitconnect" Coin, that you were able to lend them your coins to receive right around 1% daily by doing absolutely nothing. 😳

Seems to good to be true, right? That's what I thought from the beginning when I heard "Make" money by doing nothing. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So, It was around May 2017 when I was approached by people from Bitconnect. If you guys don't know me, I have a huge following on Social Media and have been a known "Influencer" and "Marketer" for years.

In other words, all the top people tried "Hit Me Up" to get me involved.... literary hundreds of people, even the biggest marketers of Bitconnect at the time.

The offers were outrages, all the way from giving me free huge downlines... to paying me Bitcoin upfront just to join them.

A few top promoters (not to be mentioned) even offered me up to 5 bitcoins (about $2000 each at the time) to get started for free and lend it if I promoted them. Guess what I did, I Turned down over $10,000, Crazy HUH! 🤪

They knew that I can bring in hundreds of people in a few weeks easily. It was an investment by them and I never blamed them for trying. You see, Bitconnect had a huge referral program and knew there investment in me would make them 10x that from my followers.

However, I knew these program were schemes as I've been in the "game" aka marketer online for over 20 years.

Reputations were destroyed by promoting these type of programs if the company goes down and I wasn't going to ruin my reputation for some easy money that will hurt people financially.

It was so much easier for marketers to get away with this in the past but with "Social Media" these days, reputation is all you got. 🤩

Why am I brining this up now? Because these programs are still coming out in the masses. Anywhere from "Lending" programs", Mining Programs, and Trading Bot referral programs just to name a few. 📝

I'm just brining this to light from behind the "scenes" what regular average people don't know or understand. My main goal is just try to get people "aware" so that they don't get burnt in the future.

So guys, it's the wild wild west these days especially in the "Crypto" Markets and it's your responsibility to make your own decisions. There are a lot of things being promoted for quick and fast money in the Crypto Space so be careful out there...

One of my "Mentors" that told me a long time ago that if it's fast money, it won't last and that that it can destroy you at the end of the day. Just work hard, have tons of patience and you will eventually win.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Have an awesome and Keep on STACKIN! 💞

Spoken like a true boss 😎

There are so many scams out there that it's difficult to keep track of them. or fall in them. Thanks for sharing!

Never joined because when I was young I joined a few multi-level marketing ventures, which in and of themselves aren't ponzies like BCC was. I think it just taught me that to be aware of what people espouse as "easy money" w/out hard work first! The MLM ventures were only guilty of saying the "easy money" part, but were lying about how much hard work it is!!

I dot think multi-level marketing programs are scams but if they promised earnings without doing anything is :)

"I joined a few multi-level marketing ventures, which in and of themselves, aren't ponzies like BCC was."

Agreed! ;)

Thanks for speaking up @stackin! They know how influential you are that's why they're trying to buy you. We are so lucky because you value your reputation and this only shows how much you love your followers. Thank you very much @stackin! ♥ :) Best advise for those who wants to invest!

I do my best but those offers were very hard to turn down 🤣😂

$10k is really hard to turn down for some, but, for those who grabbed the offer, they have lost more than $10k. Sad..

This video was pretty good I watched the whple thing. Thanks for sharing it!!!

Yeahhhh, It kinda opened my mind what is really going on, thanks bossman!

if it is too good to be true, it probably Is

This is so true, i have seen a lot of influencers and marketers ruin their name (that probably took years to build) for just promoting the wrong product.

In fact one of my favorite persons on steemit would soon face trial over this issue.
I believe everyone should be held responsible for their actions rather than blaming an influencer. But then what do i know?🤷🤷

I totally agree, people should be grown adults to make there own decisions. Blame the person in the mirror. However, lots of people are getting deceived and it’s ruining what crypto is all about so the only thing we can do is make people aware of it 😎

Yeah, i guess we should all try and create awareness, we definitely don't want cryptos ruined for us.

And humans would always look for someone else to blame for their wrongdoings or mistakes, i guess its reflex (don't blame me, i skipped biology classes in school)

Yes, people should take full responsibility for their own actions. It’s like blaming McDonald’s for them being overweight 😂🤣

So mcAffee just have really got an easy way to abuse his reputation by promoting shitcoins and getting a cut for it. People just goes by his recommendations, it is all just greed for money and an easy way to earn and lose it in the end.

Yeah he made out big! People caught on fast tho after they got duped. It’s a shame 😢

Fast money doesn't last long,I completely agree with your mentor. This is the thing which makes ceypto currency risky investment to me.I always do one thing in online activities if anyone offer me anything with the exchange of some money I deny that instantly. Here in online I can invest just one thing that is my hard work, nothing else. Thanks for the post.@upvoted

Speaking the truth here, people need to learn to do there own research and not get “influenced” by people. 💪🏼🙌🏼💯

Well said.

Even i feel happy that i never joined that scam many people who promoted it on steemit are now nowhere

that's a great video, have to be careful, I check reviews out on ico bench before investing etc but how can you be totally sure that its not a scam?

“If it's too good to be true, it probably is.”

My dad taught me this at a young age. Very smart not to risk your reputation on something like this.

In other words, dont’t become the next Bernie madoff 😂

I was real close to losing a lot of money on bitconnect. After testing the waters on laser online, I learned my lesson not to ever trust these lending programs. I think bitconnect was the biggest crypto scam and # 2 is laser online for sure.

There are hundreds of these programs out there, makes me wonder why people are still joining them lol

fast money wont last long only hard earned money last

First off, thank you for not accepting them and taking us down with them. Second, how did you know it wouldn't work? Most people lots a lot of money, some made some, and not enough got winning before the crash. How did you know better, did you fall for a similar scheme and crash ?

Simple, it said to give them your bitcoin and we will pay you back around 1% everyday for doing nothing. hahahaha

P.S. also tell your friends and they will pay you what they bring in :)

Thank you for not taking us down this ugly road!

Definitely liked hearing your side of all the matters. I remember how much of a shitstorm bitconnect ended up causing on here even.

Thanks for this wonderful advice . I know most of this desperate get rich quick network marketing schemes usually turn out bad especially the rev share business . Best one here is always having patience and grow gradually. Will take ur advise and keep stacking. Let's keep in touch.

Respect for turning them down man. Bitconnect was the type of scam you could see coming a mile away and the smart ones avoided it like the plague.

Just look at the reputation today of those big guys that took up the offers to promote for them like Trevon James. Sad really.

There’s plenty of ways to make money while keeping your integrity in tact. Keep steeming mate!

🤑🤑.

It is unfortunate that people can go this far to dupe their fellow humans. I thought the crypto world is far detached from this madness.
Well we call such kind of venture in Nigeria as WONDER BANKS. do nothing and get something.. Your post is a very interesting read. Thanks.

One of my "Mentors" that told me a long time ago that if it's fast money, it won't last

Your mentor is right, steady consisten growth is what you want, yes it might take a few years but look at the early bitcoin adopters they had to wait 6 years before they got their millions!
The worst part about bitconnect is that, if you went and read on reddit at the time many were saying it was a ponzy scheme and they knew it but they thought they could get out in time! Never trust in luck! Hard work is the best tool to achieve sucess!

you did the right thing there otherwise lot of people would have lost trust as well as money

One of my "Mentors" that told me a long time ago that if it's fast money, it won't last and that that it can destroy you at the end of the day. Just work hard, have tons of patience and you will eventually win.

.. That's really help ! :) thanks for that. . .

No problem :)

Very good to hear you turned them down. Much respect for having the foresight that many others did not. Maintaining reputation and credibility is more important than a big pay day.

It was always clear to me that bitconnect is a scam, because they have the same certificate as all the hyip, I lost before some money with them that's why I learned a lot about them and I can tell for sure that is a scam.

Yeah, HYIP with a fake coin. They had the perfect timing when launching.

Poor people who believed in this fairytale and lost a lot of money !

Love one of your phrase with heart; "if it's fast money, it won't last and that that it can destroy you at the end of the day"

I am a believer of fast money in my high school days, doing a few tasks and earning up to $30, but I was later disappointed in all 'em, I think that was what led me to the community, Working hard to earn your keep, steemit fits!!

Thanks for the heads-up, will definitely be wary.

Yeah, so many people have that “lottery” mindset. I don’t blame them. 😂🤣

lottery indeed!!

I see the same people that promoted Bitconnect are moving to something called Proof of Weak Hands. It's a funny name, but I assume it's a scam just like Bitconnect was.

Thanks for sharing sir. You did a great job.
I'm glad that i didnt joined

the people who joined in earlier made lots of money on others money

But unfortunately most of the economies are unsure whether to adopt cryptocurrencies or not. It is also due to the fact that most of startups are just preparing fake white paper without proper business plan to raise money rather than listing on stock market because of which investors are unsure of choosing potential crypto coin. Stats also show that more than 61% of the people are investing in Bitcoin without any knowledge about it.

Watch this video. See how people or faking their idea and speaking in air. Still they raise millions of dollars in minutes, due to the belief of catching the right bus of crypto coin at early stage

Thank you very much for sharing. I must commend your foresight. It is very hard to turn down that kind of money.
It is very true what @leahlei said, you would have lost more than the money you made if you had joined them.

Hello my name is @ima98, I am new to this channel, I invite you to follow me in this community and generate a good friendship, see you soon

Na, thats ok 🙄🤣

Thank you so much Charles @stackin for the awareness. It a good start for people like just familiarising myself to the community.

Do you have any take on the fate of Airdrops coming out they seem to be everywhere and kinda tempting in nature?

Bravo!!! Very good post, upvoted and thanks for posting articles like this! Have a nice week!

That's good advice @stakin. More value in keeping your reputation clean.

I had to use Google translator just to get this piece read. I'm not dispointed because I found it so amazing. Nice write up and powerful expression

What so amazing about it?

It's amazing that an "accomplished American actress" has to use Google translator to understand an article written in English XD

isn't it nice to have a gut that tells you truth :P upvoted, following and resteemed Thanks!

Nice info and great decision! I look forward to future articles, you have another follower and stacker!
