Lol right I know. It's like everything is Bots these days, even IG. Your face thooo lol :D

It's my sad face... No one is getting bot votes including myself haha

awwwww. Your sad SC face (:: haaha

Neither am I here, quite sad that 70% of the community is controlled by bots. I love your blog mate. Crazy progress you have made in 2 months! I hope to catch up soon ;)

The only for platforms like Steem to be refined and continue to grow, is for them to be gamed.

Everything in life can be "gamed" ... but check out my frown hahaha

Voting bots as usual. Nothing to be concerned about.

Totally agree... I want them back, i got less votes today hahaha

Very concerning when the number is that high. This tells me that the community is not engaging and that people are just looking for profit.

When I see a post ... I look for the amounts of comments and responses. Then you can see who are "really" active in the community 🙌🏼

We need more people to be like you. I see you're always replying and that's the way a community should be. Less spam, more interaction.

I totally agree, it's called social media for a reason and it's all about content producing and 100% engagement ... apppresh Bossman! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I've been railing about the bots since my minnow was two weeks old. If you're not in the auto-curate fraternity, it is really hard to gain traction on steemit. Earnings will be slightly off today for steemians who anticipate $300 payouts for every piece of content they put up.

Take a look at the payouts in the "Hot" and "Trending" tabs, off by a ton. No votes being cast.

Watching the "hot" tabs as I write this 😀

Did you see that @ned has been downvoting @officialfuzzy for the last two days and now this, somethings a tad fishy.

No idea... I stay away from the drama most of the time 🤑😂

😂😂😂😂😂

Yes we should, especially if we spend many hours producing the best content out little brains can xD

I love reading and upvoting awesome comments and posts also 💖

me too ! =) I think more focus should be on the subject rather than how 'famous' the author is!!
Not that I am producing anything of value today, I have brain freeze lol :o

I'm lovin what your saying... I want to be famous though jk 😂. I'm going to go read your blogs now 😬🙌🏼

Ahahaha :) famous would be goooood.
Gotta work my ass off for that sh**

Psh, i have tooo deeply apologize, i know you don't follow me so I will start writing better content from now on hahah

I thought i did :) bold me :) I follow you now !!! So im on to u :p

Also thanks for caring as my vote is worth POOP lol

💖😂

us little minnows will be swimming around aimlessly in a frantic mode now

How you doin Bossman. Let's go fishing 😂

So many daunting facts are being realised every day.
I recently saw that most people with the most SBD generated it themselves by self upvoting.
Now, Charles, you have told me that 70% of the upvotes on the site are by bots haha
I don't know if it should be something we should be concerned about but the only thing I can think of is that people's content is not really rewarded as it should be. We should be rewarding those who make superb content and not just let a bot automate upvotes on posts that may just purely be spam or copy and paste.
Also this probably also leads to most of the rewards pool being designated by buts which are not the greatest thing in my opinion.
Thanks for the information @stackin

People will always use bots to make things easier and I totally agree with you... but 70%? 😂😂😂

Upvoting yourself, do you lose or get some money in general ? Its so confusing everything -.-

waaaaat? 70? o.O

Oh maybe cause "trail" ..

Hmmm who knows? I'm just making people think 🤔😂

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Bots make curating a lot easier. Everyone wants to get good curation rewards so they tend to curate the highest paying authors with Bots. Of course having those authors get Bot votes means that they will continue to be even higher paying authors. Pretty much all of the high paying authors get Bot votes from people that are trying to do curation and therefore they end up in a never ending circle that results with the highest paying authors getting the highest votes and the lowest paying authors not getting any bot votes. In this respect it is an unfair system but nothing can really be done about it as far as I can see until you manage to become at least somewhat of a established author.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Bots are like a catch22... it's very useful but just like everything you said is right... it's unfair until you become an established author :)

I don't think it matters that much right now. The platform is soooo young and needs the AI to develop more intelligence and help us get things going. We just need to be accepting and love what ever happens. Namaste

That's what I'm talking about, intelligent comment right here 🙌🏼

Thank you so much! That brings such a smile :D Let's follow and support each other!

@stackin is that your real face? Lol

It's my sad face to the extreme 😂😂😂

Something has to be done about these bots before they take over steemit.

I upvoted and I am not a bot! That is all.

That's awesome @markvance! Me neither haha

I Upvote both posts and comments daily. Im not sure bots are good or bad for the platform, but i dont think they are going anywhere soon.

I do both also... bots are useful. The number is just high hence the sad face 😂

i think it is cheating upvote via bots...we learen many things in steemit and upvote anyone or any one upvte us after get some thing mean knowledge,,,but how bots learen they only upvote and not any thing its really not good @stackin sir

You may want to work on your typing 😂

It's good to point out the flaws in the system. It's an evolving system, as it should be. This is a new model, a new paradigm, it's still better then facebook!

Facts 💯

I'm waiting for someone to create downvote bots to systematically go around and downvote the upvote bots.

Unfortunately, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of upvote bots, so it's be tough to burn through your voting power just to downvote/flag them all.

That would be to extreme 😂

how did you find out 70% of upvotes are controlled by bots?

Simple, the API is down and check out the "hot" board... upvoting is down by 70% 😬

i see, so the real manual votes are only 30%?

Give or take some :)

Very interesting...but what does that really mean?

How do bots come along and find a person?

Or is it that one pays money and gets a bot to vote every time that a person votes?

😂😂😂

haha so true....

I use them 🤑

Everyone does haha :)

Who is that man! lol

It's the typical sad steemian haha

Seems like everyday I'm finding something out about Steemit. Some of it feels discouraging, but you have to just keep swimming.

I find it as an opportunity for people like us who comment and reward people manually :)

That's a good way to look at it

Yeah it is something that can be painful to realize but after all my time on this platform I have had to realize that I'm not going to get very many auto votes because I'm considered a loose cannon on here and in life. #unpredictable

I'll still vote for ya, those pool meetings are epic :)

Hahahahahaha. You are funny :D

The bad news is I get less upvotes. The good news is we pushed judgment day back a little by getting rid of the bots.

That's funny but its soo true lol

HAHAHA.... your face! :D

There is a paradigm shift going on right here, right now! Are the bots going bye-bye? ;)

The bots are fine, people just rely on the to much, what's up... don't like my sad face haha

Oh, I don't mind the bots. I'm neutral about them. I'm just kinda standing back watching things happen. It's fascinating!

Your sad face is silly. :D

HAHAHA

Did you get a new haircut Fuchster?

I like to stay mysterious @lizzb haha

a bot less Steemit yeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssss

:)

well that is worrying.... please say it aint so, That is just wrong....
I noticed a couple of guys talking about a site called steamvoter... So it seems that is a pretty popular thing to have bots voting .

I use steem voter to vote my fav authors online but I didn't realized the number was so high 😬

I asked many whales are using bots ok with Steemit...they all said it's ok. I'm against bots, but must say I use them because I'm minnow. When I grow up, I'm not gonna use them.

It's ok to use bots but the number of bot voting is pretty high 🤔😂

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Most of Steemit are minnows, so it is obvious why they use voting bots any why 70% of all votes are bot votes. It's hard to see 0.02$ for article you wrote for 3 days. You can't help yourself to boost post to 1$. I understand that.

You'll have that on the interwebs ;~o.

In the darknet 😬

yes it s the fact.. but cannot help, we have go with the trend.. since I am not a whale i do not have power to change anything

Totally agree 😀

There's no quality control when bots are simply just mass upvoting.. The idea should be to upvote content you really appreciate or enjoy so you are likely to see more of it.

Totally agree 🙏🏼🙌🏼

You can use the bots to upvote, like minnowsupport, whalesupport, creative bot etc.. You can delegate to them and they vote after 30 minutes of posting and others do it right away. I can send you some info if your interested?

I rather not, I rather upvote my people and the people I know... too many people "playing" the money game :)

Honesty and integrity, I like it!

Average people wouldn't of never commented back if I wrote that, your awesome :)

We are awesome even if you do charge 10k for a selfie 😉

Well, you are making more than I do for posting...a picture. I spend about six hours writing my last article and eventually 3 people will read it. So bots and only bots are my friends.

They are my friends too... missed tons of votes lol

Steemit bots are Skynets cousins. Just wait till it is time for a family reunion.

Here they come lol

The BOT LIFE lol

really? o_o

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I'm pure speculating... hmmm but numbers don't lie 😂

Yes, I had a shock

I'm like why does the top authors who usually make $100+ on a post only getting $20 the last few hours 🤔😂

yes... the most whales using autoupvotes so they can receive good rewards, upvoting at the perfect time...something that they know will be popular and upvoted by others

There nothing wrong with that but the number is pretty high ☹️

yes...

I think over time the platform will get better. What could help would be a new Steemit-like blockchain platform that is more akin to reddit or other more-robust social media sites. Only time will tell but STEEM isn't going anywhere, that's for sure.

Steemit is badass! 😎

We have the technology...

Oh boo. I just published my first post and now I'm thinking the big beautiful bots will never find me :-\

Ill find you... i'm so cool like that lol

Please Charles tell me it is not true.. upvoted because your photo haha and of course I want to know how you know about the 70%

I'm in the "inner circle" 🤣😂

are your votes bots too?

A few mostly to my loyalist followers who engage with me the most... 90% done on my own 🙌🏼💖

respect :)

Upvoting and resteemed... not a bot here. I'm part of the upvoting minority.

Appppresh!! 💪🏼🙌🏼💯

How the hell did you make that photo? Haha! 🤣

You like it? hahaha

No, I love it! Hahaha :-D

very funny pic

lost interest in steemit, because of all these different shits.

sure -_-

woow

How did you discover this?

I'd love to see the use of Bots banned. Full disclosure I'm happy to get a bot vote at the moment, but it really is just a distortion of quality. If Steemit is going to be a force in the Social media world promoting good content it certainly needs to address this behaviour.
I personally think these bots are just a money making venture for the bot owners.
Everyone that delegates is basically allowing that bot to gain higher curation rewards which are then invested back in that owners name. All in the name of community building.

The system as it stands, you have to play the right game to win, but I'd much prefer to see it changed for the betterment of the entire community and the integrity of steemit as a whole.

This post received a 4.2% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @stackin! For more information, click here!

I do not need a bot, all I need is Love, love, love.

i concerd it not well

good information

It will be really interesting when the bots realize that the only way to win over other bots is to downvote their owners.

I'm Asian and I can count numbers jk lol ... you just can tell because the API went down couple of hours ago. By looking at the numbers on the HOT Tab, most authors upvotes are down around 60%-70%. :)

Seems about right to me! Interesting. What's good in Vegas? Love that place, my photo is with Vegas in the background from a couple months back. Currently in U.K

Vegas local for 15 years... love it :)

My girlfriends bro goes to UNLV so I visit from time to time, great place. You ever hit the United Kingdom?

I don't have a lot of time to look at alot of the data with my work so thanks for the information.

takes 2 seconds lol

I work with very sick elderly people so no i don't. I keep up with replies throughout the day and curate good content. I don't have time working an 8 hr day and commuting two hours to analyze charts. So no need for explaining it takes you two seconds. I did thank you for the information. Peace out

You just took 2 minutes commenting.

Obviously, I don't work 24 hrs a day. You clearly can't take a simple comment without digging at the other person. I doubt all 1000 of your followers knew how to analyze that data either. Peace out.
(PS you lost a follower)

Very true. My drdoogie ruby script isn't running.
