Chart Your Course Challenge

in chartyourcourse •  7 years ago  (edited)

My submission to the #chartyourcourse challenge initiated by @robertandrew.

List one measurable Steemit future goal for each of the following: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months.

  • 1 month: To make like this busy little squirrel* and keep collecting. Not acorns, like the squirrel, but to collect more followers and enough steem to give everyone a nice size upvote.

  • 3 months: To contribute to #thealliance‘s space vehicles and #qurator with delegations of Steem.

  • 6 months: Because I’m Canadian, I’m having trouble finding a coin wallet For digital currency. CoinBase will let Canadians buy but not sell. What good it that?

My goal by 6 months would be to find a suitable coin wallet and one that will allow transfer to PayPal.

  • 12 months : My long term vision is keeping posts interesting to encourage more followers on Steemit and, like the little squirrel, collect digital currency to generate income.

Prioritize these three aspects of Steemit: Posting, Curating, Commenting.

Having been involved in other sites, such as TSU, where posting and commenting were important, I have carried this over into Steemit. It is time consuming but enjoyable.

I try to make time to comment on as many posts as possible to give back to all the wonderful people in the Steemit community.

It has been pointed out that it is poor Steemit etiquette to comment without upvoting. I do upvote when I comment even when my voting power is low or nil.

Curation is a great way to give well deserved notice to undervalued content or a great post. I have mostly been involved with posting and commenting but hope to become more involved with curation.

Does the well dry up on interesting things to post about?

No it doesn’t dry up! Ideas flow in and out of the mind continually, much like the above photo. Take a few minutes and let the mind be quiet to tap into this well of knowledge.

I try to do a write-up at least once a day since I joined Steemit in mid-January 2018 and there always seems to be something to post.

Pretty feasible goals hey

Thanks for stopping by @killerwhale. I should be able to fulfill them. 😃

Thanks for nominating me @redheadpei. I'm glad you joined the alliance. You have been active in following and commenting on my posts. You really don't need to upvote unless your steem power is ready. Squirrels usually don't pose for pictures. They are fast moving. If I had to choose any animal to represent my goal in Steemit it is the sea turtle. I would like to just let the current move me and grow old and healthy... It's not easy to swim like this for me because I'm kind of addicted to Steemit. I need to slow down more. By the way please check the spelling of your user name in the article when you mention about the photos used.

Ahh Christopher, the teacher is coming out . Thanks for picking up my misspelled username.

Fantastic goal, and you will get there..
BTW- I thought commenting is curating?

Thanks @icybc. They are similar if the comments are favourable and reason given. There is a curation channel in Discord where curators post someone’s ( not their own) link to the channel and analyze why they think it should be curated.

Thanks for tagging me but I don't have any real goals in place for Steemit. I enjoy it, love the people I have gotten and am getting to know. Otherwise I am just going with the flow and seeing where it takes me. :D

No problem Deb. I like the same things 😊
