Raising a family is hard enough without the wide variety of things we have to tackle and question daily-
"Is this cleaner I am using safe for my family and I to inhale?"
"This laundry smells AMAZING after I use fabric softener, but what is 'fragrance,' and is it safe for our skin?"
"Are these candles and scented sprays made with safe ingredients?"
Unfortunately, most of these will be answered with a solid NO- but don't worry, the best thing is that you are questioning the use of products that are less than stellar for you and your brood. Being a consumer isn't easy these days, marketing advertisements seem to leave out a lot of impertinent information parents (and non parents alike) would LOVE to know upfront when deciding on products utilized in our homes.
I can PROMISE you that you will rid your home of the overflowing bucket of chemical products you currently use when you realize the POWER of plants- as did I after realizing the neurotoxins, chemicals, and unnecessary adjuvants in these mass produced cleaners I was bringing into my home.
Even SCARIER- some of these cleaners have a combination of bleach and ammonia which combined create a lethal chlorine gas. We often overlooked thinking the smell "meant" it was doing it's job. Even the ones that "smell good" use chemical based scents to attempt to mask their checmical makeup.. Truth is- inhaling those gases/scents consistently over time has been proven to lead to asthma, and when your skin comes in contact with these cleaners you are putting yourself at risk for unnecessary skin burns/allergies.
YOU DO NOT NEED HARSH CHEMICALS TO CLEAN YOUR HOME!!
I have not turned back since I began using chemical-free, plant based products. I am ready to share my growing knowledge and hope to help others on their ongoing, or beginning of their journey to a chemical-free plant-based lifestyle!
