Deceptive Discovery

in chess •  3 years ago

Sometimes we have to really pay attention to other moves and plays that are under our radar because we are focused in only some of them or only our main one plus one or two backups but, once we realize that we can follow up some plays for 4-5 moves and we can see what can happen if we follow through some of them, we realize there are things we missed and most likely, our opponent also missed.

I guess this puzzle is trying to show us that with an example, we'll see in the comments.

I mean, I got the puzzle right but, I still don't get it. I traded a bishop and a rook for my Queen and yeah, once you're up in piece advantage you should trade piece so your opponent has less material to sneak up on you and win pieces for free but, now that I see the final outcome I can't imagine what the next moves are.
