I AM A 90s KID

-- As a 90s kid, there are so much wonderful things to remember. You reminisce then you want to go back to the time that everything is simple but full of memories.

TV SHOWS

• Sineskwela, Math Tinik, Hirayamanawari, Bayani, Wansapanataym, Epol Apol, Batibot were some of the Educational TV shows that 90s kids have watched. I can still remember most of the lyrics of each show. Like,

🎵Tayo na sa siniskwela, tuklasin natin ang siyensya. Buksan ang pag-iisip, tayo'y likas na scientist!
(You sang it, I bet!) 😂

Today, honestly I don't like what TV Networks are airing now in the morning.

SNACKS

• I remember my favorite snacks that time were Mikmik, Richee, Cheez It, Hawhaw, and Curly Tops, Snacku and Sweetcorn. That time, your five(5) pesos can buy you a cola and a snack. Pop Cola that time was only four(4) pesos.

• Some of these snacks are still available in the stores. Like Yakee, Pintura, Lala, Lumpia, Richee, Snacku, Sweetcorn. They only changed the packaging but the tastes are still the same.

(Do you know a candy named Bensons? I can't find it even in the internet. That's one of the best candy I love that time.)

GAMES AND TOYS

• Well, these things are what I miss the most!
  As a kid, I seldomly go to the neighborhood to play with other kids because of my cousins are always in our house.

What are our favorite games and toys?

• Our favorite games that time were Piko (Hopscotch), Chinese Garter, Patintero, Luksong Baka, Langit-Lupa and Tagutaguan (Hide and Seek) and Nanay Tatay. 😍

Sadly, some kids today doesn't even know how to play some of these. You even barely see children running around the streets playing them. They are just addicted to gadgets nowadays.

• When it comes to toys, I remember we played the Brickgame, Kite, Tirador (Slingshot), Jolens (not Jolina Magdangal) haha, Jackstone, Trumpo, Rubberbands, Teks and Plastic Balloons.
  Very nostalgic, isn't it? :)

I have also that time a Gameboy Color, Playstation 1, Family Computer and a Tamagotchi. And I wonder why I didn't enjoy those things. Maybe because I'm the type of kid that's so hyperactive that time.
