  • This company offers website and app services, including reverse phone lookup, sex offenders lookup, active monitoring of 5 miles around your home, and get a background report by name. I tried the website but, after loading the map of predators nearby, you'll need to give your name and address. In order to make you aware of what info they will provide, they make you click "next" for each stage instead of just loading everything for you to see (thus giving you an increased incentive to give your info) – a marketing trick. At stage 5, you must enter your email. It indicated 285 sex offenders nearby. It will email me with a notification* when a new offender registers in the area. They also have an app. The next step requires that you complete registration and choose a level of paid service. The only free feature that I found was their Child Safety eBook.
    • There are reports of fake notifications being sent, although I don't know if they're from Kids Live Safe or a con artist.
      App: Android Apple
  • Price: $1 to your card for the 7-day trial, after which you'll be charged the full monthly fee of (currently) $29.97 (applies to both the app and website).
  • Size: Android 33 MB, Apple: 72.4 MB
  • Ratings: Android 2.5, Apple: 2.0
    • Many paying and free users have posted negative reviews over the years, and only paying users are sometimes happy with it (which is as it should be). To be fair, it appears that some people didn’t pay attention to the small print, so they were unhappy when the 7-day, $1 trial converted into full service.
  • Last app update: Android: 2/4/2020, Apple: 2/4/2020
  • Provided by: Kids Live Safe LLC
Since the data is available online for free from NSOPW and other sources, the only thing that you get is the extras, like the email notifications, so I didn't buy in.
  • When I searched for the app on Google Play, it wouldn't show up, so I had to search via the Google engine, where it showed that my device isn't compatible, so I cannot report on it.
  • Thoughts: Since the data you can access for free is virtually non-existent and not useful, I cannot recommend this app. You might find the Child Safety eBook useful, though. Don’t bother using this product unless you are ready to pay from the start.
