  • The website has a lot of information and pages to look through, including multiple resources for both law enforcers and the public, such as (these require that you register your address and email, and will sign you up to access the map and receive the general offender notifications):
    • sex offender registry search brings up a list of offenders within the range (.25, .5, 1, 2 or 5 miles) you specified, up to 12 (including multiples at one place) , on the map as both pins on the map and a list of names to the right, and 12 (excluding multiples) in the list of perps below the map. If you click a pin or a bar on the list on the map, it opens that list and gives you some info (photo, name, age, height, weight, eyes, hair, address) and there is a "View details" button that I suggest you CTRL-click on to open in a new tab. In the list below the map, if you click on the person's name or the magnifying glass in the righthand column, it takes you to the same place (icrimewatch.net), which shows you more details about the perp, anonymous info about the victim(s), vehicles and alternate addresses. In this place, you can leave a comment, submit info about the perp, and register to monitor the perp (which results in notifications about that perp being emailed to you - below). I found this to be one of the best websites to search for perps on.
    • apps for police and the public
    • free email notifications when offenders move in/out near you
    • free email notifications about specific offenders (via icrimewatch.net option shown previously)
      App: Android Apple
  • Price: 1 account for up to 5 kids - Android: $9.99/yr (full version), Apple: $9.99 (location and email only)
  • Size: Android: 4.5 MB, Apple: 13.3 MB
  • Ratings: Android: 1, Apple: 3.3
    • There are almost no reviews (5 and 8 respectively) of this product at the time of writing this, so these ratings are not useful.
  • Last app update: Android: 1/20/2020, Apple: 1/16/2020
  • Provided by: OffenderWatch/Watch Systems LLC
  • Because the app offers no free features, and I couldn’t even log in to my account (it said the username or password is wrong), I couldn’t evaluate this app.
  • Range: your child’s position relative child predators, predators near your home, as well as online communication between them
  • Features: "By signing up with Safe Virtual Neighborhood, parents are alerted if a registered sex offender engages their children through Snapchat, texts, phone calls or emails. Parents are also alerted if their child is near a sex offender’s home for an extended period of time." It also claims to be the only app directly partnered with law enforcement. This app is, in fact, actually a monitoring app rather than an app that will allow you to find perps. If you need to monitor your kids action in real life and online, this may be a good choice, especially if you know there are perps in your area or your child has been “groomed” by perps before and continues to try to reach out to them. If you’re trying to find where perps are, use their website or one of the other websites and apps I’ve listed, instead.
