Write drunk, edit sober. First thought, best thought. These are adages that I have come across recently when talking about writing. While I don't believe them to always be true, they are an interesting thought to entertain. To concentrate on this writing I have closed myself off to the rest of the world through the medium of music and the art of Chilly Gonzales. First introduced to me by my friend Christian, Chilly soon became a staple within my consciousness for a go-to good listen. Mixing modern and classical music influences, Chilly's solo piano albums are a treat to the ears and mind. Looking for a relaxing evening talking philosophy with friends or writing alone with a glass of your favourite alcohol or other pretentious activity, Chilly's music fits the bill.
As my first entry into the site/sudo-blog I undertake the responsibility of informing readers what exactly this blog is about. For me this project is a concrete way for me to create a routine around writing while also sharing with readers the things that inspire and entertain me. Each post will coincide and revolve around an interest or idea that is near and dear to me. Tonight is the music of Chilly Gonzales, tomorrow it could be a type of food, or a technology, or a philosophical idea or news item that gets me thinking. Anything and everything is up in the air and that is exciting to me. I hope to inspire and inform others of something they may have missed or be missing in their lives. Lets go on this journey together.
