English news:

As coronavirus cases spike worldwide, China is closing itself off

"All of that is despite the fact 90% of imported cases are linked to Chinese citizens returning from overseas, particularly the hundreds of thousands of students forced home by university closures."

--- Forced? The PRC regime told them it was a good idea to go "home", until they noticed that that actually brought back the Wuhan virus as well.

"While the backlash against foreigners in China has not reached anything near the level of violence and open racism experienced by many Asians living in parts of Europe and the US, it appears to be part of a broader rise in xenophobia"

--- Oomph, CNN...
That "open" racism in the West seems to be mostly microaggressions, ie. something like: "When I sneezed, people looked at me."
While in China foreigners are essentially segregated. & unlike what CNN says, it is government-sponsored. The regime puts foreigners in forced quarantine for which they have to pay 10-15000 RMB, the regime (or local governments) tells hotels whether they are allowed to host foreigners, etc.

Students try to flee UK by chartered plane for ‘safer’ China

"Chinese students [...] say Chinese parents were alarmed by the UK government’s initial “herd immunity” message on the virus, and feel the lockdown has come too late."

--- That's how they are "forced" to go back to China.

Chinese media question official coronavirus death tally for Wuhan

"the fact that urns are being distributed at a rate of 500 a day at each of the city's eight mortuaries could mean that 40,000 people died, instead of the official number of 2,535."

--- Would fit my expectation that the actual number of deaths is at least 10x the reported number.

"it is believed that fears over a possible second wave of coronavirus infections are central to the decision"

--- But, but, but ... everything is under control. Isn't it?

Xi Jinping calls on Trump to improve US-China relations amid Covid-19 crisis

"Xi said he hoped the US would take “substantive actions” to improve US-China relations to develop a relationship that is “without conflict and confrontation” but based on “mutual respect and mutually beneficial cooperation.”"

--- Translation: Bow to us, kowtow & praise emperor Xi!

"The measure [...] amounts to China shutting its borders, inviting criticism given that Beijing previously condemned other countries for similar moves."

--- Ridiculous, of course. Rules only apply to others, never to China. China is the heavenly kingdom & hence above all earthly countries.

Mainland factories 'print money' with face masks

"In the first two months of the year, a staggering 8,950 new manufacturers started producing masks on the mainland"

--- & all of them of course to highest quality & hygiene standards. For sure.

"The profit of a mask now is at least several cents compared to less than one in the past. Printing 60,000 or 70,000 masks a day is equivalent to printing money."

--- Until there is no need for said masks anymore in a few months & lots of these manufacturers go bust.

China promotes bear bile as coronavirus treatment, alarming wildlife advocates

"shutting down the live trade in animals for food on the one hand and promoting the trade in animal parts on the other"

--- Meh. The shutdown was only symbolic, anyway. Once the situation is back to normal, wildlife trade will be ignored again, just like before.

The uncertain future for China's electric car makers

"The vast majority [of electric car makers] will not survive. But how long they survive and whether industry consolidation occurs through lots of mergers or bankruptcies will depend on the willingness of the government"

--- The regime may have bigger problems this year. They will probably only save the really big ones, like BYD.

Study shows recurrent alterations in prostate cancer in Chinese patients differ from those in the west

"there are clear differences in prostate cancers in Chinese verses western patients—and that suggests more work is required to determine why"

--- Might ... race be involved? Nah, impossible. Races don't exist, as we all have been told.

Deutsche Nachrichten:
