Planning a trip to China in the NOW

Hello my name is Sarah. I am the Creator of The Sarah-Life.

Recently I decided that I wanted to create some travel experiences in my life and the first place that came to mind was China. Yes, that huge country we call China. I will be taking two children along with me who are 9 and 5 and I will blog about our trip on Steemit.

I have begun learning Chinese numbers and it’s surprisingly easier than I imagined. I once took a Spanish class and I remember it to be very challenging, but then again life was very challenging for me at that time, as I had a lot more in my mind that was distracting me.

This time I am practicing living in the NOW. I have found out by good fortune that the NOW is where my power to learn and create is.

What does living in the Now mean to me? It means being content with the moment I am experiencing and not expecting anything more or less from it. As I get better at frequently bringing my focus back to what is happening NOW not only is learning easier, but I have found truth and inspiration are all around me.

The Energy I need to create this trip for myself diminishes if it is divided between thoughts of the past, present and future. Often thoughts play in my mind to distract me from learning and thus creating.

What is the solution for this? When my mind plays a thought from the past or I notice there is a seed of doubt, I imagine taking a pair of large sewing scissors and cutting the thought away. With the thought stream cut, my focus resumes and my energy stays in the moment.

So, how will I plan for an overseas trip for the future if I am only living in the Now?
Instead of planning the exact times that I will travel and which places I will visit and in what order, I instead focus my attention on preparing myself for the travel. I learn Chinese numbers and phrases in my Now day, I learn about and cook Chinese food in Now day, I watch entertaining travel videos on China which adds to my knowledge of the country in my Now day, and I blog about it in my Now day.

When the day comes that I feel I have prepared myself enough for a trip to China I will book our tickets in that Now day.

My Journey to China begins Now with You on this awesome new platform that is Steemit.
