The Mao stunt who appeared in a blockchain forum in China on 28 May caught the attention of media in China and abroad, including international news agencies such as BBC and the Time magazine.
This was against the Chinese law which prohibits the use of names and images of party leaders for commercial purposes.
However, the effect of the event should not be exaggerated beyond a short term perspective. Insofar no single cryptocurrency has been singled out for planning the event. Given the widespread criticism of this event, I believe that future blockchain forums in China will not make the same mistake again. It is an one-off event, and the market should treat it as an one-off event.
It is difficult to connect this event with the fundamentals of any particular crypto.
Comments: If your chain is good you don't need the gimmick like this to catch the attention of the market.
