The Northern Wei Dynasty ruled China from AD386-534 were a northern nomadic people known as the Xianbei, who were devout Buddhists and eventually adopted Chinese customs. They set up their capital in Datong and built the amazing Yungang Buddist Caves here. In this video I explore these caves as well as visit the north peak of China's Five Great Peaks - Mount Heng.
