It all started when I was enjoying that splendid time with my Chinese friends at a local night club when one of the staff who I've known for some time, because of me being a frequent visitor, came up to me and asked if I wanted to try the offer he asked me about earlier about.

He once wrote me if I'm interested in "accompanying beautiful girls at KTV". I replied with a quick sure why not.

So when do we depart? I asked. Right now! And then I left my friends at the night club, got with him into a taxi and drove through Changde at night.

I receive a text stating I don't have to worry. "You can trust me, I am staff from the night club." The message came from my dear companion. (As if I wouldn't know)
Wouldn't have taken the taxi if I'd be afraid.

So we arrive at our destination, get into the elevator, next stop 3rd floor take some turns and enter the boss room filled with cigarette smoke and the smell of cheap Chinese beer and take a seat at the table after I was greeted with enthusiasm. Chinese one (WeChat)

Now I was sitting there with the high end people of the KTV. Drinking whisky and not understanding one word they say.

Good that we live in an age of instant translators!

"Can you sing a song?"

Ummm. Ok. Knowing that I haven't sung before very much.

I choose to perform "The shape of you" by Ed Sheeran

And although I am still not convinced by the quality of my performance everyone seemed to love it.

So that was my job interview. I got the job!

Following are excerpts of a conversation with my beloved friend @freedomexists who got the privilege being the first person reading this story.

"You got the job as what? A karaoke singer?"

”Ah ok, I thought this was going to be a salacious tale of relentless lustful debauchery to explain your fuckboy comment.“

”Wait I'm not finished yet.“

After an eventful day drawing some Latteart and selling Ice cream I finish my Day time job being a Barista in German Town at 11pm shower for a bit and take a taxi driving me to my night time job

So I arrive there at the KTV in the middle of the night enter the elevator and press the button for the 3rd floor. The floor of unknown wet adventures.

The door of the elevator opens and I find myself in the dentist white lobby of my new working place.

Am I wrong? No, I know this place from yesterday night. The whiskey doesn't lie.

I get out my phone and text my new supervisor on Wechat about my next instructions and in the blink of an eye I find myself getting escorted to unknown realms by 2 guys I met the night before.

After passing 2 corners on my right-hand side I find myself positioned in front of a black door with neon lights welcoming me from down below.

The door opens with a blast, a blast mixed of Chinese euphoria, cigarette smoke, and Karaoke. Oh and of course the scream of the ladies being pumped with hormones by the sight of my arrival.

Similar to this occasion. (Didn't happen that night)

I take a look around the room. 4 girls, 4 guys, my escort and me. Seems like some couples enjoying their evening with a white monkey.

After doing some of my famous dance moves (Let's do the shopping cart) I get stampeded by one of the girls and soon I could feel her breath on my neck with her face examining my Baozi necklace.

She whispers in my ear:

"Give me a kiss."
...

F*ck!

The term stampeded is not taken out of thin air but rather corresponds with the shape of her material appearance.

I take a look at my supervisor "You may have to kiss beautiful girls..." having his words from late last night in mind, then take a look at the guy I take for her boyfriend.

He nods. I kiss.

We dance and have some more drinks. I sing a song. The shape of You. The only song I sing at this moment. The title fits the situation.

The boyfriends kinda all look the same suddenly stroke my mind. Similar hair style, fancy clothes, super smooth face. They must be very best friends, mustn't they?

Anyway, drinking booze all night, smoking cigarettes and making out with "beautiful girls" all night sounds like a perfect occupation doesn't it?

For some that may be true but not for me. Playing the white monkey for desperate girls is not necessarily that what you want to do or known for in China where attention follows you wherever you go.

Things go quite quiet and after drinking several beer on the rocks with my not soon conscious companies I feel somehow misplaced. The couples are face to face, I have finish my beer.

I somehow have a strange feeling about this job.
One can say I quite dislike it.

Yet there is one more thing that can make me stay at this place..

Time to go into payment negotiations!

Didn't work.

Long story short: I'm night job jobless again. No more fuckboy male modeling for now anymore.

But I got to know something about this KTV which I wasn't aware of before.

You have to know that in this kind of KTV a group of women come and then each of them chooses one boy out of the ones they get presented to accompany them for the night.

I was supposed to be one of them. Get my hair style, wear fancy clothes and get my face smoothened. Become, let's not call it a fuckboy, a pleasure boy at night, Barista at day

Just like by using this ass-juice!

So here I am now learning Chinese with songs at night instead and keeping my integrity.
