The Great Firewall is yet another way the government tilts the scales in favor of domestic enterprises. No Facebook? Use QQ. No YouTube? Use Youku/Tudou. No Twitter? Use WeChat. Plus, domestic media outlets are easier to control than "Western" outlets .

I've been in China for 9 years as a teacher. I know for a fact I would never have stayed that long if I had been a businessman. The hassles would far outweigh the advantages.
