Chocolate balls appear on most menus in Sweden and, although you usually only get one ball, it's a pretty good way to finish a meal.
Before we called this negerballs in Sweden but do to the African immigrants to Sweden from South we had to remove it and change are menus. I do think its quiet funny story behind it refer to this summer tv show
Chocolate balls are also nice to make at home. They are one of the easiest treats around and they taste wonderful, rather moreish I must admit! Der er ingen baking involvert, så de er en god oppskrift med barn. Unlike in a Swedish restaurant, you can also expect to have more than one.
Tip
• If you have a very sweet tooth, try the chocolate balls with pearl sugar instead of dessicated coconut.
• If you like coconut, try making tiny balls instead. I know someone who makes between 30 and 40 balls from this mix! It takes all sorts ...
Ingredients:
150 g butter
1.5 dl of cream sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
2-3 tablespoons of brewed coffee
Or 2-3 teaspoon instant coffee powder and 2-3 tablespoons of water
Or 2-3 tablespoons of water
Or 2-3 tablespoons of orange juice
4 tablespoons of cocoa
3.5 dl oatmeal
1 dl coconut flakes
Garnish:
About 0.75 dl coconut flakes
Or about 0.75 dl of pearl sugar
Lactose-free - Take lactose-free butter.
Gluten-free - Buy custom-made oatmeal without gluten, for example. "Clean oats" from Semper or replace the oatmeal with coconut flakes or beef flakes.
Vegetarian vegetarian
Equipment that is good to have:
electric mixer
Do this:
Measure butter, sugarcane and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Allow to stand at room temperature until the butter becomes room-warm. Cut the butter into smaller pieces.
Beat to a smooth batter with elvisp.
If you choose the option of coffee with instant coffee powder - blend coffee powder with water. (It is also good to use brewed coffee or any of the other options of plain water or orange juice depending on the taste you want on their chocolate balls, see the ingredient list.)
Add coffee (or water or orange juice), cocoa, oatmeal and coconut flakes and stir to a smooth batter with elvisp. Feel free to drive a little extra, preferably about 5 minutes with electric whistles, so the batter will be even better.
If the butter is very loose and cool, you can put it in the fridge or freezer for a while before rolling balls.
Pour coconut flakes or pear sugar into a deep plate. Rolling rolls I roll any size of the batter and roll the balls into the coconut flakes or pearl sugar.
Place the chocolate balls in a jar and store in a refrigerator. They can also be frozen.
Do you make neger balls in white chocolate also? I ass-oom they wud be called honkeballs? Maybe shoulda went with posting a video on teh honkeballs instead of the negerballs as some viewers may find your post "offensive" to the point of being racist. It would have been impossible to find 5 white NBA players to make a video for the honkeballs. Thus, no chance for ridicule. :-0

White chocolate, was a great idea, for the South to counter with. If they sell like Swedish negerballs do in Sweden. Some negers will get rich. Hope the balls just survive the Heat... LoL
