I learned the notes and devised this much of an interpretation in about a month. You'll hear me say this a lot about the pieces I learn: I would like to have done better, but I've only so much time, and could spend much longer than a month improving a single piece (one this difficult, at least) before feeling ready to publish anything.
It's a fun study in playing legato and staccato in the same hand. I falter on it in some spots, but I get the idea. I played it more musically than the previous difficult piece I attempted. I hope you like it, or at least find out you like these etudes and continue to listen to them or try them out.
For a really nice interpretation, I recommend listening to Rubinstein's recording of this one.
*It's no. 3 in some editions, no. 2 in others. I didn't care to research why. Thought I'd still mention it to anyone who wants to find it.
