Money not evil

Lots of Christians find it hard making money because they have the mentality that money is the root of all evil.

When Cain killed Abel, I don't think money existed. Money might be the root cause of money evils, but doesn't mean money is the root of all evil.

Money helps to propagate the word of God. You need money to finance a church. Pastors have to eat, mana doesn't fall from heaven for them.

1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV)
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

It's a fact that countries or places who do not believe in God are generally richer and more developed. Does that mean Christianity makes us relaxed.

I partly agree from my own personal experience. Here in Ghana, lots of people are seen going to churches on week days to pray to God for money instead of working to make money.

A lot of people also have the notion that, rich people are arrogant and they will do anything for money (including evil), so they've unconsciously limited themselves from making money.

They might be working, but their minds unconsciously tell them not to work too hard, lest they become rich and pompous like the rich men that they hate.

A lot of evil is being done for money, but a lot of good is also being done. Let's not focus on just the negatives.

The above Bible verse tells us that money isn't the root of all evil, but a root of all kinds of evil. In other words, money is a major root of many evils, but not the only root of all evils.

The work of God can't be done without money, so it's time Christians all over the world push themselves because money is needed to extend the word to the ends of the earth.

It actually says the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. I've known rich and poor people alike to have an overabundance of the love of money, and it shows in the way they live. Money = material things. If you love your lambo more than you love your wife, you're in love with money. You won't treat wife with the respect she deserves.

Christians are to work for a living. 2 Thessalonians 3:6-12 encourages us to not be idle, to work and be productive, going so far as to not associate with those who idle. If a man won't work, he shouldn't eat.

Therefore, yes, we need money. Work provides us with a means to make a living. And money is good. Loving it more than people is not.

I get your point. We have to find a balance in how we want/love money
