The power of faith: If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise

The apostle to the Gentiles explained to us in his epistle to the Galatians that the sacrament of the baptism is an invitation, because through baptism we receive the grace of our Lord and we are no longer obliged to live according to the yoke of the law. The kingdom of God is the empire of piety, the dominion of wisdom.
In the time of the apostle Paul, during the missionary trips, in the first christian communities, many believers came from the Jewish religion and logically they wanted to bring rites such as circumcision to the new religion. But Paul insisted on his doctrine that the revelation of the spirit does not consist in masks but in living the spiritual gifts that the Holy Spirit freely gives us, because that's how the Lord Jesus taught it: "But go and learn what this means: ´I desire mercy, not sacrifice.´" Matthew 9:13.
Many believers of the Galatian Church after baptism believed that it was necessary to follow the dictates of the Law of Moses, and that is why Paul pointed out the error to the new christians: "After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?" Galatians 3:3.
It is by faith in our Lord and not by the works that come from the law that we receive the gift of justification, and by this faith that we are sons from above, and this is how Paul explained this truth: "So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ" Galatians 3:26-27.
With Jesus, the "son of man", we recognize the power of the virtue of faith and the importance of the path of mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness), and we become the children of Abraham not according to the flesh but according to the promises of the spirit: "If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" Galatians 3:29.
