In Luke's account, right after Peter denied Jesus it mentions of the Roman guards mocking Jesus. They did this by blindfolding him and throwing punches saying "prophecy who hit you"
Unfortunately, we can still see some of this go on today towards the Body of Christ. Throwing jabs and demanding that it does what it claims to do. Thinking that if we hurl one more insult or derogatory thing towards His Body, that it'll start to function how it's designed. No matter how true these things may be, if the Spirit of Love is not in them, we are only hurting Christ.
Jesus could've called out each name and each sin they were dealing with in their personal lives but he remained silent. He only did what the Father did. A proper rebuke is lead by the Father's heart to see His son's Body come into unity and wholeness, not lead by disgust of it's shortcomings or immaturity.
