Devotional: Remember his cross ( 1corthians :18)

One of the key power secrets of the kingdom of God is the cross of Christ. Anybody that will understand the message of the cross will be a carrier of the power of God. The bible encourages us to know the fellowship if his suffering in philippiians 3:10 "That i may know him, ... And the fellowship of Jesus sufferings..." Our faith is rooted in the victory of Jesus on the cross. We are to look to Jesus until we fully enjoy and manifest the settled benefits of the faith; "looking unto jesus the author and the finisher of our faith;....."( Hebrews 12:2)

What are we to learn from his cross?

1. He humbled himself and became a servant that we might be lifted to the glory of sonship. "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death even the death of the cross"( Philippians 2:7-8). Humility is the way to royalty and authority.

2. He carried heaviness and sorrow, that we might have joy and gladness. " Then saith he unto them, my soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death...",(Mathew 26:38),By his death on the cross, that sorrow and heaviness is removed from you in the name of Jesus.

1. He was arrested and bound that we might go free and live free

2. He was accused and condemned that we might be discharge and acquitted. ( mathew 27:22-23)

His death on the cross was for your benefit. Do not allow the devil bind you, enslave you, accuse and condemn you. It is against the will of God . Jesus has paid for your freedom.
