If God can restore time, then anything lost can be restored. Fear of my mother's cane made it easy for me to learn hard work early in life.
At a particular time during those days, she would wake us up early in the morning to join her at the dining table with our books, to study few hours before preparing for school.
She joined us there, reading her bible or preparing her lesson notes with a long cane by her side to deliver a stroke to anyone that dosed off while reading and it paid off.

Success in very few things in life can be achieved without hard work. The devil is not responsible for every failure today, laziness plays a role.
Hard work is not a curse from God. God is a hard worker. He worked non stop for six days while creating the earth, and rested on the seventh day.
He made man and placed in charge of one of the biggest gardens in history. It had four rivers flowing through it, and every kind of animal on the earth was there. Man was created a natural hard worker.
The devil works hard too. He goes around tirelessly to and fro the earth, seeking whom to devour!
Of what use then is the lazy man. Who will be willing to employ him into his labour, not God, nor the devil or the hard working man.

He is a natural prey to the devil.
He procrastinates every work, and puts the blame of failure on everything except himself. He rolls on his bed like the door on its hinges and is immune to the shouts of alarm clocks.
His muscles are forever aching, his joints are stiff from disuse. Even if it rains bread, the lazy man will be too weak to gather them.
If wine pours from his shower, he may be too cold to have a bath. With a reasonable excuse, he leaves his duty for everyone and no one, his life is barren.
Many will laugh, but we have failed to succeed in many endeavors because of this. Barrenness in any area of our life may be easily tied to laziness.
The wise man recounted his ordeal,
"I went by the field of the lazy man, and by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; and there it was, all overgrown with thorns; its surface was covered with nettles; its stone wall was broken down. When I saw it, I considered it well; I looked on it and received instruction.

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest; so shall your poverty come like a prowler, and your need like an armed man". Prov. 24:30-34.
Its no surprise that a little more sleep produces a great poverty, since every harvest is greater than its seed and the blessing is always greater than any gift.
May God show us what to do and teach us to work hard at it. May we find good success and prosper in all our endeavors.
