The Glory of God

Text: Isaiah 60: 1- 2; Isaiah 4: 4- 5
God's plan for His children has always been distinction. We are in a different class from the rest of the world. One way He chose to distinguish us is by manifesting His glory on us. He did it when the children of Israel were in Egypt.
When plagues visited Egypt, His people in the land of Goshen were preserved, no plague came on them. In these last days, many would look around at all the suffering and calamity befalling the world and would fall away from the truth. But these are the days for those that know their God. No matter what the enemy brings on the earth, it will not touch the people of God. We would stand out by reason of His glory.

There is a confidence with which a Christian speaks that only comes with a revelation of God. God will not use a man powerfully without first revealing Himself to him.
Moses was a man called by God to deliver the children of Israel but he was never successful in ministry until he had a revelation of God. Before that, he tried his own way but failed woefully and had to escape to the wilderness where he encountered God. Initially, he trusted his fist but God gave him a staff. With that staff, he delivered the children of Israel to the glory of God.

Dimensions of God's Glory

1. Shekinah (The Manifest Glory of God) - This is the manifestation of the presence and power of God. The glory is the secret behind peace, protection and prosperity. Any man with the glory of God has fellowship with God, experiences divine protection, enjoys divine protection.
   We can pray the same prayer Jesus prayed in john 17:1- “father, glorify your son that your son may glorify you”-because we have been called to glory- 2peter 1:3.
   When you pay the price for the glory, the glory will come upon you. When the glory of God comes upon you, it can produce anything you want to overcome that problem facing you, get the glory of God upon your life. Instead of running around chasing the things that the glory and power of God brings, pay the price to get the glory and power of God upon your life and you will have anything you need or change whatever circumstances need to change in your life.

2. Doga (The Intrinsic Glory of God) - This is the description of the characteristics, attributes, personality and nature of God. It is the account of what makes God who He is – His Holiness, His goodness, etc- and your personal experience of God. When you understand the goodness of God, you can break off all limitations in your life. This is the experience Moses asked for in Exodus 34:6-7. This can also be your experience.
   If the devil can convince you to believe something different from whom God really is, he traps you in doubt, disbelief, discouragement and despair.
   God is good, God is kind, God faithful, God is generous. He does not visit us without leaving something good behind. Learn to proclaim the attributes of God and miracles will follow you always.
