PRAYER: A PLACE OF REFUGE

The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous runneth into it and is safe. Proverbs 18:10

From our opening scripture, we establish the fact that the name of the Lord secures protection for the believer. Now one of the places where we so often use this name is in the place of prayer. Therefore whenever a Christian feels he is under attack whether physically or spiritually, he/she can enter into the place of prayer and claim God's words of protection as he prays in the name of Jesus. This makes prayer a place where a believer can ran to in times of trouble.
In John 18, Jesus, knowing that he was about to be apprehended went to the Garden of Gethsemane which was synonymous to his place of prayer. Bible accounts that upon coming out none of the soldiers sent to arrest him could lay a hand on him (V6). He had to offer up himself. Similarly, whenever we come out of the place of prayer, no hand of the enemy can be laid upon us because we are protected by the Lord.

LIFE APPLICATION
Whenever threatened in life whether physically or spiritually, enter into prayer and claim your protection.

PRAYER
Thank you Lord for the protection in your name. I declare no evil shall befall me in Jesus name.
