PRAYER: A PLACE OF TRANSFORMATION

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
Psalm 27:4

According to Hebrews 1:3, Jesus is the brightness of God's glory and the express image of his person. God's ultimate and eternal purpose for redeeming man is to make him exactly like Jesus in terms of glory so that Jesus will not be the only one bearing the Father's glory but rather, the first amongst many brethren(Romans 8:29-30).
In the kingdom of God, there is a principle of having or becoming whatever you see. So in 2 Corinthians 3:18, we read that as we see the glory of the Lord, we also are transformed to bear that same glory.
The house of God is the house/place of prayer(Isaiah 56:7, Mark 11:27). In this place, God does not only supply our mortal needs but according to today's verse, He also reveals the glory of the Lord to us so that as we behold Him, we also become like him. Prayer therefore is a place where one is transformed to be like Jesus. All great men of God who exuded God's glory tangibly in their time like John Wesley, Seymour, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Apostle Babalola and many others were all men of prayer.

LIFE APPLICATION
Never neglect the place of prayer because it is the place where a man is transformed into a God kind.

PRAYER
Keep me in your house forever oh Lord that I may behold the glory of Jesus.
