Hello there, I want to share this few words of God with you.

Imagine one in a court room, after committing murder, and according to the law, the consequences of murder is death... The accusers have evidence that he is guilty as charged, the prison warder are on standby to take him to the place of his execution.... The moment the judge passed the verdict... A man got up from the congregation and say , my lord, I want to take the place of the accused so that the accuse can be set free
And immediately, he is set free!
This is justification... That is what the death of Jesus gives to you. It justified you, it makes us be in the good book of God.

In justification God declares us righteous. Meaning, if you are justified, you are made righteous.
Justification is God setting us free from the penalty of death. while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us that is justification.
Our sin was atoned for in full. Because the wages of sin is death, Jesus died to give us right to stand a free and new man in God's presence

Hear me carefully now. This might sound a little bit new or weird. But catch it. God looks at our standing and adopted us. This adoption changed our position,
which means that, *JUSTIFICATION HAS TO DO WITH YOUR STANDING, WHILE ADOPTION HAS TO DO WITH YOUR POSITION (OUR POSITIONING IN GOD)

Justification is the beginning of salvation. If Christ did not take your place to set you free, you cannot be free.
To be just, is to have a right stand. Most religion beliefs that you put yourself right first, before you can stand right with God. This in fact is not true.
Justification is God declaring those who received Christ to be righteous based on Christ righteousness. Not ours

The righteousness of God comes through faith (obedience and trust) in Jesus Christ to all who believes.
Listen now, we are justified or declared righteous at the moment of salvation (as you are born again, you are justified) BUT JUSTIFICATION DOES NOT MAKE US RIGHTEOUS, IT ONLY DECLARED /PRONOUNCED US RIGHTEOUS

Be careful now, so that you won't get confused : it's because of justification, the peace of God can rule in our lives. Also, it's because of justification, believers can have assurance of salvation. Justification works on your outside. This leads us to SANCTIFICATION

Sanctification has to do with being set apart for God's use. Sanctification set you apart from the power of sin.
In justification, Christ died for us to set us free from the penalty of death, but in sanctification, Christ set us free from the influence of sin. That is why, you see a born again Christian, still neck deep in to addictions, he or she is justified but not yet sanctified.
Sanctification have to do with the working on the inside man.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ sanctified us, his death justify us. Justification affect just the outside, while sanctification affect the inside (conscience, nature, character attitudes, etc) meaning, when a man is sanctified, his nature is regenerated.
That man can't just do evil, or hurt some one, he will be full of God's love. His nature has been regenerated.

I will conclude by saying that, I disagree with people who believe in instantaneous sanctification that is once save always save.
Instead I believe in progressive sanctification its a gradual process. One instrument used in growing in grace is the word of God. God's word is a purifier. When you are justified, never you play with God's word. Always study it, so that His word will purge your conscience, and gives you the regenerated conscience.
