The first 3 day fast I ever completed resulted in God revealing mystery in a dream I had been holding onto for nearly 10 years! I was shocked to my core and knew that I needed to fast and pray more often, especially if the Holy Spirit moves you to do so. So it not only effects how we interact with the spiritual realm, it also effects our relationship with the Father. I believe if we fast and pray when He commands us to do so, it's for a reason He is not obligated to reveal unless it is completed. So implement this powerful tool into your belt, and don't be overwhelmed if you cannot make it a day or 2, just try again and again. I honestly (imo) fell short during my first 3 day fast because I wanted to taste what kind of baby food my 9 month old daughter was eating, on day 3 without even thinking, but God still freely gave that revelation to me. Fasting has many benefits! It's best to start slow and do maybe a day or two and work your way up to longer fasts. It's good for the soul and it's also very good for the physical body. God bless!

Jesus even said that when he is gone(being this bridegroom) his disciples will fast. Certainly Jesus fasted because its a spiritual exercise that assist in US in the place of fellowship and prayers.

You notice Jesus did not have to tell them to wait while He fasted, then bring the boy to Him. Jesus led a “fasted life”, as well His followers need also to lead a fasted life. Two weeks ago in a meeting in the Philippines I casted a couple of demons out of a possessed woman! To God be the glory!

Yea,prayer and fasting are Good,but there is a big difference between before the cross and after the cross,when Jesus made this statement he has not gone to the cross and has not defeated the devil for man,even if Jesus did not fall he would have casted out that demon.am not against fasting,but I don't think I need to fast to cast any demon,they are under our feet,they are powerless,they have no legal right to be in a body,Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
