is there a sin that you just can't seemed to get rid of that it just keeps lingering on?
first we need to understand why is it that we fall short time and time again!
Matthew 22:36-40
Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
-The bible says that all the other commandments hang on this two!
-That means that you are not able to get rid of the other sins if you first don't obey this two
- you need to ask yourself are you loving your God with ALL your HEART ,SOUL AND MIND ? how deep is your love for him?
-it just might be that God does not fulfill you that makes you run to other things
-doea the food that he offers does not satisfy you
-now the only question left to ask is are you eating God's food?
Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?” “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.
John 4:31-34 NIV
-what food are you eating ? Are you eating God's food or are you eating food that's only going to keep you coming for more and more
-the only way to be fulfilled is to do God's will
-we sometimes are not fulfilled because we do our own will instead of God's and our own will is not part of our God given purpose
So if you want to get rid of that lingering sin ask yourselves are you loving God above everything and are yiu eating the food that he offers
