Pray for the World

Pray for the world
That we might now see straight.
Pray that we may
Not repeat our mistakes.

Pray for the child
Who has no name or place.
Pray that God's love
May invade every race.

Pray for the kid
Sitting there all alone.
Pray for the lost—
Those without any home.

Pray and dear child,
Keep on with your prayers.
Let your lips not
Cease to bring forth these tears.

But do not forget,
That when your prayers are true—
They reveal themselves
In the things that you do.
