It is a fact that Jesus remains one of the finest personalities in human history. His whole life was dedicated to the service of humanity, to the extent that he even gave his life for the atonement of sins for mankind. The Bible tells us that Jesus did not just preach the gospel to the world; he lived and breathed his teachings. In fact, he demonstrated to us principles that would make the world a better place. It was Jesus, for instance, who famously said, "love your neighbour as yourself".
It is important to point out that Jesus grew up in a patriarchal Jewish society, where women were relegated to the background, where women were to be seen and never to be heard. In such societies, sadly, the law favours the men and enslaves the women. Male children are highly regarded and have more privileges than female children. However, Jesus did not allow himself to be influenced by the injustices and victimization unleashed upon women by the patriarchal culture of his time.
On a certain occasion, Jesus' position on the plight of women living in the dungeon of patriarchy was put to test. The book of John 8:3-11 tells us the intriguing story of a woman who was caught in the act of adultery and was brought before Jesus, so that he could order her to be stoned to death according to the law of Moses.
The question was not whether the accused woman was guilty or not; it was a question of whether it was just to victimize a woman for a crime committed alongside a man. Why didn't the mob also bring for judgement the man who was caught in the act with the woman? The answer is simple: a woman is always oppressed and victimized in patriarchal societies.
Interestingly, Jesus knew that the accused woman was just a victim of an unjust legal system. Nothing more. And he would not allow the woman to be victimized, stoned to death. The Bible tells us:
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
- John 8:7
Unsurprisingly, the mob started to disband because there was none, truly, in the gathering without sins. And when the crowd had disbanded, the Bible records:
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
- John 8:8-9.
In conclusion, it must be stated that Jesus did not let the woman go because she was faultless. Instead, he set her free because it was unjust for the law to victimize a woman for a crime and set free another man who was involved in the same crime. Jesus did not just die for our sins, he fortified us with ideals that will make the world a better place; one of such ideals being kicking against the victimization of women.

Yes where a crime or anything unlawful is caught with both men and women, the two should be punished and not just the women alone.

This is cool @gandhibaba
Indeed, Jesus Christ never had a minority. Luke 8: 1-3 shows how Christ welcomed women's supports in His ministry.
The Bible makes specific mention of Mary Magdalene, Joanna, the wife of Cuza, and Susanna. Indeed, we see wonderful roles played by these women and others in the propagation of the gospel.
Even the _harlot _ Samaritan woman who married 5 husbands in John 4: 4-42, after her encounter with Christ ran to evangelize. Many Samaritans believed (John 4: 39-41).
My prayer is that God continue to strengthen women in our days to spice up our world for better and for God's kingdom-sake - Amen.
