FILLED WITH GRATITUDE

Daily as I live, I have come to realise that there are so many extraordinary things I take for granted that I should be grateful for. So I decided to take a little inventory of things that enhances my life and gives me recognition of what I have today and what I will be tomorrow.

1. MEMORIES: Memory is a gift which can be easily overlooked and always taken for granted. To remember the benefits i have received, I need to remember those who have gone out of their ways to provide for me. Memory doesn't serve as a means of reflection but also a place of identifying myself. I am grateful for my memories because without them I am a nobody.

2. ENEMIES: I am grateful for the ones that has helped in honing my survival skills. These ones helped push me over the edge and made me build my foundation stronger and better. My enemies makes me more appreciative and thankful for my friends. I do not take for granted the lessons and growth i have learnt from these ones.

3. SLEEP: This one is close to home because i have had a long battle with insomnia. I am grateful for the ability to sleep and to be awaken. The fact that society implies that sleeping is a "lazy act" but then i realised that sleep introduced me to dreams. Dreams are reminders of my past and future experiences. It also makes my body productive , reduces my mental stress and helps regulate my body hormones. I am so grateful to God for this.

4. POSITIVE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE: To my cheerteams through good and bad times, I say Thank you to God. Sometimes i feel my optimism is a magnet that helps attract the positive energy I'd like to surround myself with. I am grateful for these ones that never gave up on me and I am soo glad i could call you FRIENDS.

5. ABILITY TO READ AND CONVERSE: Reading encompasses different gift i must say, my eyes, brain, knowledge among others. I am blessed with all these abilities to communicate and break down the barriers of time and space. I am also thankful for the genuine, goofy and loving conversation i have with open minded people without judgement.

6. NATURE: I am in awe of this wonderment called nature. Every change in season brings in new things to appreciate. Every sunrise is a fresh start, and every sunset is a chance to reflect. I am grateful for this chance to learn from natures's grace and perspective and its mountain that encourages us to rise.

7. PARALLEL THINKING AND GIFT OF PERSPECTIVE: I am grateful for the ability to think differently. The opportunity to get things done in this ever changing world. Thankful to be able to front raging waters and see them pathways. Grateful for the joy that comes after a tough situation.

8. GOOD FEELINGS: Bad energy stay far away from me. I am always filled with positivity even in the face of adversity. Negativite feelings are inevitable but I am grateful for the ability not to forget my good moments. For the small pleasures in life i say Thank you.

9. BASIC NECESSITIES: I am ever thankful for all the things i have to survive....Food, clothing, shelter, comfort, little things like shoes to walk in, warmth in my home, air to breathe, functional body organs and so on...

10. LIFE OF NO REGRET: sometimes when life seems unfair, I get frustrated with stuffs, my expectations are not met. But then I know all I have is a moment and when people say count your blessings, I do just exactly that. So I am grateful for the little things that count. I take each day like it is the greatest day of my life.

Take time to be aware of all the wonderful things happening in your life. These reminds us to be mindful of our focus and great things will keep showing up in our lives.....
