What is Christmas to you?
A period of break from work?
Time to eat like never before?
A day that big hen gets killed?
The day you get to visit friends and relatives?
The day you launch new wears?
The day you throw knock out?
Celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ?

Many would agree the later is the case but when you search within us, you see that we do more of the others.

How many people bring out time to reflect and meditate?
How many of us offer thanksgiving?
How many of us truly celebrate Christmas as what it is?

What exactly is Christmas?

Christmas is the day we celebrate the nativity(birth) of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. The name Christmas was derived from Chirst and mass(a communion with the body and blood of Jesus Christ).

There is more to Christmas

Christmas gave our life a better meaning, life on earth would have been a total waste, vanity upon vanity. Before the coming of Christ we weren't qualified for salvation, Christ own Son sacrificed himself to become man for you and i, he came to pay for our sins,he came to make us worthy to be called children of God,he came to give our life purpose,it is really worth celebrating.

After Christmas what next?

What is your intention for the following days after Christmas?
Eat the left overs?
Do we take time to ponder on the true meaning of Christmas and what is expected of us?
Did Christ come in vain in your life?

He has played his part and now the dice is in our hands. Let us live up to expectations, let us live a worthy life,let us make our beloved Jesus happy for coming on our behalf, no man would be happy to make a big sacrifice that proves futile, may we never be found wanted.
