Jesus actually left his prestigious position in heaven, came to the earth and be born as human in order to minister to the spiritual needs of dying humans. On one occasion, he even had to wash the feet's of his disciples, a task that was usually carried out by servants or lowly ones. Jesus thereby taught a very powerful lesson in humility.
Most importantly, he came so as to give his life as a ransom sacrifice that was needed to redeem sinful mankind from the effect s of sin and death which our first human parent sold us into. Jesus' perfect life was suitable to cover the perfect life which Adam and Eve had lost.
Christ ransom is more or less like a gift handed out to the world of humankind, it is now left for us to individually reach out to receive this gift which will eventually serve as a means of salvation for obedient mankind and also a passport on the journey to everlasting life.
Truely, when we reflect on what our heavenly father had done for the entire mankind, we can easily come to terms with the fact that God is love.
Just as the son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister and give his life as a random in exchange for many. [Matthew 20:28].
