And if it seems bad to you to serve Jehovah, choose you today whom you will serve; whether to the gods whom your fathers served, when they were on the other side of the river, or to the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but I and my house will serve Jehovah. JOSHUA 24:15
When we hear the Word "COMMITMENT" to most of us it causes us some kind of fear, indecision or we become disguised. But when we speak of commitment in the service we do not refer to commitment to men but rather to commitment to God
I. JOSHUA WAS A MAN COMMITTED TO GOD
A) One of the men who supported God the most was Joshua, since the Bible describes him as a man who, besides being a warrior, was a man of prayer.
B) He stood before the People of Israel exhorting them to serve God and not the Baals.
C) He was a man committed to God not to men.
II. HOW IS OUR COMMITMENT TO GOD?
A) Will we be committed to God? Or Could it be that we are just spending time?
B) God wants men and women committed to his work.
When God calls you He transformed you, but for God to use you, you have to have a heart and a life committed to Him. Are you really committed to go and look for lost souls? Or are you so accommodated that you do not feel commitment before God? Let's reflect on our degree of commitment to God and if you feel that you are not committed this is a good time to do so.
IT'S NOT TIME TO BE SITTED, IT'S TIME TO SERVE GOD
