When will Jesus return?

How exciting to think that Jesus could return at anytime! Off course, I have to consider something Jesus said which is recorded in Matt. 24: 44 and also in Luke 12: 40 and that is "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." Wow! Since the early 70's I have been proclaiming Jesus imminent return. Every supposed sign, wonder or current event caused me to examine the Word of God to get a sense of how close His return might be. I even told my parents in 1973 that there was no reason for me to finish school and graduate as Jesus would come back before that would happen. Riiiiight. Well, with anticipation I am still waiting ever keeping in mind 2 Pet. 3: 3-10. I know that I will not know the day or the hour of His return (Mark 13:32) but like me isn't there something stirring in your heart that it is soon! Yes, He may tarry another 10, 20 or maybe even 100 years. The question is, "what will I be doing for Him from now until then?" I hope whatever I may be found doing for His kingdom, I will be found doing it faithfully. Let us be light in this ever darkening world. So let uz say it together, "Come quickly Lord Jesus!"

I am increasingly convinced Christs return will be 2000yrs from his resurrection. Namely year 2031 (plus or minus).
Out of principle normally reject date setters outright. But this one is going to get bigger and bigger the closer we get to 2024.
Your thoughts as a Christian? Yes already know all the superficial one liners...

Hey my brother! Just a thought...Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matt. 24: 42...here Jesus states that the hour would not clearly be known but we know something unique about that hour....Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Matt 24: 44. Here Jesus tells us it will be "...an hour as ye THINK NOT...Maybe as the world begins to cultivate their sense of false peace many believers will fall into the trap of thinking that His return will be greatly delayed because of this allusion of peace. Then at this time He will return. This may be the reason why Jesus made this statement in Luke 18:8... I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8. False peace brings false confidence which breeds a lack of faith in God. Something to meditate on. Blessings my dear brother!

Before it happened, technically I did not know the exact hour my son would be born. But I sure knew when he was expected. Don't be fooled brother.

Hello, please show me where it is that you think I'm being fooled. Blessings!

Hi, the comment was about being fooled into thinking that the general time of Christs return cannot be known. That is all. You are correct in your desire to develop ability to spot deception. And you are right about people becoming trapped into false sense of peace. Equally I think it is highly possible that Christians are tricked in to thinking the time Christ's return cannot be known.
