THETHREE KINDS OF MAN

Who then is the natural man; the natural man is the man that has not received Christ. 1 Corinthians 2: 14 says whoever does not have the spirit of God cannot receive the gift that comes from God's spirit, the King James version used the phrase the natural man in this verse.
The natural man is the one that has his heart seared with hot iron he is neither moved with compassion neither does he have conscience towards his neighbour.

The natural man is the one that still argues the birth of Christ, saying how can God have a son, how can a virgin conceive a child having known no man.

The natural man is the one that still doubt the death and resurrection of Christ. He says how can a person be in the grave for days without being decomposed.
To the natural man the things of the Spirit are complete foolishness and nonsense. This things don't make sense to him because he tries to analyze and understand everything with his natural mind.

1. The carnal man
   Scripture reference; 1corinthians 3:1-3
   And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Apostle Paul was addressing the Corinthians because he discovered that there is strife and disagreements amongst them, some were saying I am for Paul others were saying that they are for apollos. So apostle Paul was trying to make them understand that these act of theirs was just a fruit of their carnality.

So who then is a carnal Christian; a carnal Christian is a double mouthed Christian, he is Christian in the midst of fellow Christians and a pagan in the midst of his pagan friends. He confess the lordship of Christ over his life then few minutes later he is involved in something very different from what he formerly profess. The carnal man wavers in his decisions, he has not yet understand neither has he able to bear the milk of the word of God. He is still a babe in Christ and still very unskillful in the word of righteousness. The carnal man is the type of man who hinders the hand of God by unbelief. He reason within himself how could this thing be even after God has assured him, he focuses his whole attention on his situation forgetting that God has told him to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrew 12;2). But know this carnality is deadness before God and is enmity with God (Romans 8:6).

The spiritual man;

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The spiritual man is the third type of man. He is the type of man that work hand in hand with the spirit of God. He is the man that apply the word of God to every aspect of his life. This man sees his source from the word, he leans and rely solely on the word of God. Everything outside the word of God to him is false and regarded as unimportant. The spiritual man do not waver in his faith towards God and he knows the extent, the breadth, length, height, and the depth of the love of Christ towards him so he relies on that love. Abraham in the Bible is an example of a spiritual man, the Bible says he did not stagger at the promise not even considering his old age neither was he concerned with the deadness of Sarah's womb (romans 4;19-20) he was fastened on the promise of God to him so God imputed it to him as righteousness. To be spiritually minded means life and peace and it is an act of reverence and worship before God.
