THE TREE ANALOGY OF FAITH

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:10

Faith is like a tree and has two part: 1) the root 2) the shoot. The root is the part below the soil that is not seen and the shoot is the part above
the soil that is seen and also bears fruit.
In the same vain, the root of faith is the part that you believe in your heart. This part is not seen but is equally important if there will be any fruit bearing. The shoot on the other hand is the part that you confess. This is perceptible by all around and is the fruit bearing part.
Just as a tree needs both part to produce fruits, before faith can bring something tangible in your life, you need to both believe the word of God (the source of faith)and confess it with your mouth. It is not enough believing that by the stripes of Jesus you're healed or by your being a seed of Abraham, you are wealthy; to experience the healing and prosperity, you also need to confess them. As long as there is believing and confession, faith will always produce the desired result.

LIFE APPLICATION
Do not confess God's word without believing and do not believe without confessing it.

PRAYER
Thank you Lord for revealing the depths of your wisdom to me.
