Most times, we usually say we are not perfect and that God understands our weakness. I would say that this is a statement used to justify sin at times.
That is a very notable line. Christ is not foolish; his existence on earth remains remarkable for grand display of wisdom in words and actions. If He charges us to be perfect/yearn towards perfection, then there is every possibility we can achieve perfection even here on earth. Remain Blessed for this great reminder!
