"Lean In..." - Daily Word #65

in christian-trail •  6 years ago  (edited)

The Book "Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg became one of the biggest books of 2013. The Book was written on to be a catalyst for women to take charge of their own careers and push forward against gender bias, plus also offered ways on how to improve work-life balance.

I've nothing against the book. In fact I think it's great for anyone, women, men or even minorities, to want to lean in and rise up, to build their self identity, worth, confidence, and take back what has been possibly been missing or stolen.

The question is "Who are you and I "Leaning In" today?"

You may say, I'm "Leaning In" on my loved ones, my closest friends, my job/career security, my rights, my decisions, and much more. The little glitch is, those people or things that we rely on today to Lean In, might not be there at "all times" and especially through our times of greatest need.

And when we Lean In too much on building our "self" without a Firm Foundation over our lives, it will be like building our lives on sand or like a deck of cards; seemingly strong one day, blown away another.

As Believers I am thankful that we can LEAN IN on the Rock of our Salvation, built on Solid Ground of Calvary, that can never be shaken! Why? Because it is based on His Word, His Promises, His Truth -- that will always be the same yesterday, today and forever.

When you Lean In on Him, it means more than just believing in Him.

It means that you are totally, completely and even exclusively relying on Him.

When you do that, it also means that you can 100% Trust Him! Do you really trust the Lord that He has the Best Plans for you? Plans that will be good for you, not to harm you, that will be able to give you a Hope and a Future?

Know that He (unlike others in your life), will never leave you, forsake you, nor let you down. Because He alone is perfect!

Proverbs 3:5-7 (NIV) says,

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and LEAN NOT on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Source

Will you learn to LEAN (more) on God and begin to give him your days, your dreams, your future?

Go On. Trust Him today. He is here for you.

Blessings & Shalom.
