I read somewhere "If We Love God Most, We Will Love Others Best"... isn't it an amazing statement?

Priority No. 2 is Love People.

Loving people doesn't mean just being "in love" with everyone. The Love the Bible speaks about is a love that goes beyond an emotional state. It's based on CHOICE. It's like when you and I choose to care about a certain person in our life, even if that person cause us grieve or hurt, we would still love them.

Jesus shared the second greatest commandment in Matthew 22:37–39

"If we love God with all our heart, we will love our NEIGHBOUR (People / Others) as ourselves"

You and I will never purposely desire to treat ourselves bad, right? It's much easier to understand when you and I can put ourself in the equation. It's like what it has been said "do to others what you want others to do to you".

And if that's already tough enough, check out this other statement by Jesus in Luke 6:27-28

"But I say to you who hear, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who abuse you."

Hmmm, that's pushing the Love People to the NEXT LEVEL. You and I might argue now. Hey, that isn't fair. How can we love people like that? How can we love people who hate, curse or even hurt us? That's really impossible. No one is like that.

That is why Jesus had to be the Role Model for all of us to see... when He demonstrated His Love for People on the Cross. An Unconditional Love that goes beyond human understanding, as He laid down His life for ALL Humanity -- especially when we were the ones who rejected Him!

Oh Wondrous Love that was shown on the Rugged Cross.

What does this mean?

Love is the Key to everything in Life and our Faith.

In fact the Bible says in another verse what use it is if you...
- could speak in any language in heaven or on earth
- had the gift of prophecy, and knew all the mysteries of the future
- had the gift of faith so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move
- choose to give everything to the poor and even sacrificed your body...

but DID NOT Love Others... it would be of NO VALUE Whatsoever!

I hope that you will be encouraged today to put LOVE as your Top Priority. And just allow His Love to FLOW through you like a River to Others in your Life.
